This update includes improved train predictions and a better reading experience for the news we provide. We've partnered with MetroHero to provide better train arrival predictions near and at the end of the line and take into account track conditions.

This release supports iOS 11, fixes a few bugs, and prepares for upcoming devices.

This update returns the ability to see estimated fares for your trip. It automatically takes into account peak fare times and shows you how much you can expect to pay.

This update adds iCloud sync to your favorite stations and your commute. Now, this data persists and syncs between your devices. No sign-in necessary. (Seriously, every app should do this.)

It also includes the following improvements:

- Added back the number of cars on each train (Sorry!).
- Fixed a bug where you couldn't tap on multiple stations in the map.
- Alerts weren't reloading. Now they update every 30s, and we added Pull-to-refresh.
- Added Pull-to-Refresh a few other places that make sense.
- Cleaned up some areas of the design, including the icons.

DCRider 5 is a major release, rewritten from the ground up with a brand new design and new features to help make your commute easy and worry-free.

- A rewritten Trip Planner, with the option to set your work and home stations to automatically show relevant commute information.
- Embedded SafeTrack information, including schedules, maps, and shuttle schedules.
- Near Me: Find the stations closest to you with a single tap.
- Read the latest transportation news from the Washington Post and Express.
- See all of WMATA's alerts, for the lines you use the most.
- Initial support for iPad, iPad Pro, and Multitasking.
