“恶魔的任务”是一款通过对角线滚动动作进行的幻想型角色扮演游戏。玩家将操控勇士讨伐在世界范围内蔓延的怪物，例如在平原上繁殖的黏液橡树精、潜藏在森林中的玛坦戈洪流怪或是在墓地中徘徊的僵尸鬼等，并打倒隐藏在荒野深处并导致怪物们变凶暴的巨龙恶灵，使世界重返和平。

通过在屏幕上滑动来操控勇士的移动并挥舞宝剑，找准时机对敌人一击而中。

击败敌人即可获得黄金，可以此收集并更新武器及护具，从而能使勇士变得更强大以能打败更凶悍的敌人。

:::宝藏猎人:::
通过打败怪物，玩家将会不时获得魔法石或宝藏。
仅仅通过装备魔法石，便能起到提升角色状态的效果，或单击以恢复状态，或提高一时的攻击力和防御力。此外，通过收集同一种类的魔法石还能提升战斗精准度。
