Friday Lock connects securely to your phone wirelessly, giving you the ability to lock or unlock your door as you leave or approach and effortlessly share access with friends and family.

SCANDINAVIAN DESIGN Friday Lock is designed by Bjarke Ingels. Its two guiding principles are beauty and simplicity; Friday’s unique shape is inspired by the architectural principle of the Saddle Roof, making it striking yet ergonomic and a perfect fit for any home.
INTERCHANGEABLE SHELLS With several finishes and materials, there’s a Friday Lock for every type of door - and since the shell can be replaced at your will, you’ll never have to settle for one style.
EASY TO REPLACE AND RECHARGE BATTERY Dismount the shell with a click to gain easy access to the battery. The Friday Lock uses a rechargeable lithium battery with an equivalent lifetime of 8xAA high quality batteries, and reduces the size of the product substantially. In normal usage conditions the battery life is about 3-4 months before needing recharge. When the battery runs low, you will see an indication in the app. A USB charger is included in the package

New, major overhaul of our app. Includes new Bluetooth core to improve communication with the Friday Lock, along with many other new improvements to the setup process, single view to find nearby locks, and integration with Friday Access.
For existing Friday users: our new app supports login through email accounts alongside phone numbers. If you have previously logged in with your phone number, you should choose this option again to keep your existing locks. If you choose to login through email, you will have to setup your locks again.
Bug fixes:
- The state of the lock was not correctly updated after a manual operation or after being away from the lock
- Back button disappeared when sending invitations
- The Nickel Satin shell would not be shown if selected from the settings

This version improves the Auto Unlock feature a great deal! Users should now get a notification when they leave and return to the geo-fencing zone. The app now utilize Apple’s own core location services, to ensure an effective and robust experience!
We have also improved the setup flow, and less people should now receive errors during initialization.
Please beware; after setting up a lock, the status will appear grey. Either turn the Friday lock to lock or unlocked position by hand, or use HomeKit to toggle the lock. After a second or two, the Friday App should sync up, if not; restart the app.
Next steps are connection stability improvements and updated invitation flow!

New: Wifi support in the lock without the need for a hub.
New: Reoccurring and Restricted invites
New: Knock on Door. If you wish to grant access to visitors without having downloaded the Friday Home app, the new Knock on Door solution will help you do just that. By activating the Unlock Access functionality in the Friday Home app, the Wi-Fi function will be initiated; giving your guest 60 seconds to knock on your door twice and your lock will open for them. Your guest must knock the door twice (to wake up wifi) after your have given access.
