Balancing grass growth, soil fertility, compliance and environmental sustainability is a delicate process and hugely time consuming for the busy grass-based dairy, beef or sheep farmers who want to do things right. GrassMax combines the latest compliance regulations and nutrient advice to present a simple and easy fertiliser plan which targets individual paddocks with the right product at the right rate at the right time over the growing season.
GrassMax allows farmers to store and view soil analysis for each paddock on the farm. Fertiliser shopping lists, soil fertility status, lime programmes and slurry application programmes can be easily generated and sent to fertiliser suppliers, contractors and staff for quick and easy completion of everyday tasks. - Grass Metrics. Some key numbers are displayed around the map to show average farm cover, cover per livestock unit, growth and demand.
- Rotation Length. Using a weather-based model to predict grass growth and understanding grass demand, we can estimate the number of days of grass there is on the grazing platform allowing you to make decisions to increase or reduce the rotation length.
- Entering Grass Covers. The ability to record paddock covers based on farm walks and plate-meter readings. The first recorded cover on a paddock will start the predicted growth model process.
