About Kay Protect

KAY® PROTECT™ is a digital checklist, food safety, and compliance management program that combines digital technology with our QSR industry knowledge and field expertise to deliver improved food safety protection and streamlined operations. With this application, the program allows for Bluetooth™ food temperature monitoring, customize cleaning and sanitation checklists. In this release, we are implementing several enhancements to allow greater flexibility for users to tailor their preferred date and time format as well as the ability to create date and time questions. The user experience is further enriched and simplified with quick access to additional Ecolab tools directly from our mobile app. We have added new permissions within our in-app reporting to allow flexibility and report access by role. Finally, we have added support for an additional thermometer.

In this release we have added a mix of new features, enhancements and back-end features that will continue to deliver on the simple and intuitive principles our users have come to expect. Enhancements include checklist exceptions for planning and blackout dates, and the ability to add additional thermometers. In this release, we provide single sign-on (SSO) capability that allows users to utilize internal company credentials for login, a new badge display to help users understand if completed checklists have yet to sync to the server, and trigger questions that create additional checklists based on specific question responses. In addition, we are providing additional scope to existing integrated devices, new device integration, RTM workflows by sensor type as well as the ability for users to self-manage any required time zone changes for a device or store location. We are also providing additional user management enhancements within our customer portal. This release also includes performance and stability enhancements to improve the overall user experience.

We have expanded logging and tracking capabilities within the Checklist Management tool and added flexibility for enabling Bluetooth metrics and managing Terms of use for individual users. In this release, expanded OS and Device support has been extended for Android and iOS and to Rakinda SM1 devices. A new QR Code scanning feature allows users to capture important QR code data directly into the checklist. Pull to refresh is now available on the manager and associate home screens to refresh new and modified checks. Additional UI/UX improvements have been made to improve the user experience and speed up operations even more. This release all includes bug fixes.

In this release, users will see changes starting with login speed improvements. Several user interface and user experience changes provide a fresh look and feel to the application, while keeping the core functionality the same. Extended offline mode will provide users the ability to still capture base food safety tasks when no connectivity is available for greater than 12 hours. SMS alerting is now available for users to receive messages when checklists are missed or are non-compliant.
