About mAPP - Offline Mapping App

mAPP is right for everyone how needs offline mapping on iOS. Download OSM vector maps on your device and use it in dead spots or in other countries without roaming costs.

Pure mapping:
Pure offline maps in a clear surface. No bells and whistles, no social, no restaurant suggestions. Just orientation! Ideal for hobby and travel.

Offline topo maps:
Load whole countries or states and view them later without internet connection. The maps includes full OSM detail down to small pathways. As well contour lines included in the topo maps.

Tracks:
Record tracks and store them on the device or share them as a gpx file. You can also import gpx tracks provided by several platforms for hiking and cycling and display them on the map. Tracks from GPSies, the maybe largest collection on the web, can be downloaded directly within this app.

Waypoints:
Enter waypoints to mark a location. So you can use mAPP also for hobbies like geocaching. Use the link options in other apps like Looking4Cache or Geosphere to share waypoints.

This version contains a new data protection declaration which meets the requirements of the DSGVO. I didn't have to change anything in the content of the app to fulfill it.

You can now download tracks directly from GPSies, probably the largest collection of tracks on the Internet. It is possible to filter by different activities (e.g. hiking, mountain biking,...).

I also added the import of GPX routes and waypoints.

- Prepared for iPhone X.
- Download of offline maps restarts automatically, should the internet connection be interrupted during the download.
- Restoring InApp purchases is now also possible directly in the map dialog.
- Create new waypoints by long tap on the map is delayed, so that it doesn't happen accidentally.

mAPP has received a basic revision. Many small functions have been added, but the simple and clear interface has been preserved.

ATTENTION: mAPP 2 has new offline maps. Therefore, the maps must be reloaded after installation. The filesizes are about 5 times smaller than the existing ones and contain even more details and a clearer presentation.

- Waypoints: These can now be grouped into categories. It is possible to create new waypoints with a long tap on the map. Existing waypoints can be moved by drag & drop.

- Tracks: Have got a detailed view, which gives a short preview and the altitude profile. In addition, GPX files can now be imported directly from file apps such as iCloud Drive, Dropbox and Google Drive.

- Looking4Cache Pro: Shares the maps with mAPP. No matter in which app these are downloaded, they are available in both. This saves storage space when both apps are used.

- Surface: Completely redesigned, more colorful and still easy to use. Optimal display usage on all devices.

- Costs: The prices for offline maps were significantly reduced.

- OCM: Unfortunately, I had to remove OpenCycleMap.

- mAPP stops location services (gps) when entering the background without recording a track
- works now on devices with disabled location services and on devices not allowing mAPP to get the current location
- you can now import gpx files containing spaces in the filename
