About Nordea ID
Nordea ID app provides an easy and secure way to authenticate your identity.
With the app you can do your banking regardless of time and place. Begin by installing the app on your mobile device and go through the activation process. You shouldn’t rely on just one copy of the Nordea ID app. If your phone or tablet breaks down or gets lost, you will also lose the Nordea ID app and you will need to go through the activation process again. To avoid this, we recommend that you install the Nordea ID app on more than one mobile device.
With the Nordea ID app you can:
- log in to Nordea services and confirm actions
- confirm online payments in a secure way
- as a personal customer identify yourself in other service providers’ services (only in Finland and Norway)
- identify yourself when calling Nordea Customer Service. (only in Finland and Norway)
The app can’t be used on rooted mobile devices for security reasons.

The Nordea Codes app has changed its name to Nordea ID. There are no changes to how the app works so you can continue to use it just as you did before. With the app, you can easily do your banking and verify your identity when logging in to a variety of services anywhere and anytime. For our Finnish customers we are introducing logging on to online banking and third-party services by scanning a QR code with the Nordea ID app.

We have made the app easier to use by automatically activating the new field for PINs. The numeric keypad will now appear automatically when you log in or confirm transactions.
We are now supporting longer PINs. You can choose you own PIN length from 4-8 numbers.Due to the increase in PIN length the input PIN screen has been changed.In this version we are also introducing support of landscape mode and from now on you will get notified when a new version of Nordea Codes is available. We improved the Codes app for you.
- We added support for dark mode into the Codes app. If you are using your phone in dark mode, Codes will also use a dark theme.
- You can now set Codes manually to offline mode. This is handy as you can keep using your device online but have Codes in offline mode.
- On top of that we fixed bugs and made some technical improvements, to make your experience with Codes better.
