We continue working on making Pompom more stable and bugs-free. This update is another one that fixes a few bugs.

We accidentally introduced a new bug in the latest version that prevented you from moving clips. This update fixed the issue.
Sorry for all the problems it might have caused.

Hello folks,
• we identified a major performance bottleneck and fix it in this update. Scrolling the composition should feel a little bit faster now.
• there's also a bunch of smaller fixes

We fixed 3 bugs in this release
- audio volume was sometimes "ducking" in places where clip where splitted
- fade in/out sliders were not draggable
- clip was moved after deleting part of it

We'll continue focusing on fixing all the bugs in the upcoming weeks. See you!

The new, shiny macOS Ventura is here so we can finally drop our fall collection. So grab a PSL (Pompom spiced latte) and snuggle as we take you through the freshes looks this autumn.

(But before we do: make sure you’re up to date with both your OS and version of Pompom to take advantage of these new tools.)

• Record remote guests
You can now record System Audio as well as a microphone in Pompom. So if you’re speaking with a guest over Zoom, you can record both ends of the conversation.

• Upgraded transcriptions
Punctuation will be automatically added to your transcript now. We've also added a new premium transcription service that gives you even more accuracy.

• Tips of the day
There’s a lot of hidden power in Pompom. To help you unlock that power, we’ve added a series of tips of the day to show and explain features, tools and tricks. You can explore every tip and deactivate them in settings if you don’t want the prompts.
Let us know if you discover a power of pompom you didn’t know.

• Record & enhance audio from the menu bar
Sometimes you need to start a recording FAST. That’s where the menu bar app comes in. Just click the icon in your mac’s menu bar, select your mics (or system audio) and away you go! Plus, if you want to enhance your audio with Sound+, you can just drag and drop a file into the menu bar and let Pompom do the rest.

• Bug Fixes
Did you find a bug in the previous version? If so, it’s probably fixed :) If you found something and it hasn’t been fixed, send us a message (you can do that in the app) and we’ll get to it right away.

• UI Updates
We've made tons of small UI updates throughout the app.

Is that it? Yes - for now. We've prepared a few more fantastic updates by the end of the year so stay tuned!

• When dropping a file, placeholder area will now have correct duration
• You can now paste clips into a new track

• Gap clips - deleting part of the clip will now create a gap clip by default. This way your clips stay grouped together - even if you delete part of it.
• iMessage chat support - you can now reach out to support via iMessage. You can start the conversation by going to Settings -> Support.
• Active operations notifications - keep track of ongoing operations (transcribing, audio analysis, etc)
• Sound+ credits - you can now purchase additional Sound+ credits
• Dozens of bug fixes

Here's what's new in this update:
• Redesigned attributes view. It's now easier to edit attributes of clips, tracks and entire composition.
• Equalizer effect - a new effect that will clean up your audio from unwanted frequencies.
• Chapters - you can now add chapter markers which will be included in the exported file.
