Thew new ScoreCapture App has undergone a major upgrade. In this version:
A brand new user interface
A simpler tournament setup procedure
GPS

A “Golfer’s Ability to Par” calculation, in line with the handicap index calculation of the World Handicap System

o Easy access to the New National Leaderboard.

Detailed “maximum score” calculations for
o New world handicapping system – this uses NET DOUBLE BOGEY as the maximum score allowed per hole and is indicated in BLUE on the individual scorecard – this will be ScoreCaptures default calculation and when the “Pickup/Blowout” button is tapped on the scoring screen, your max score will be displayed as NET DOUBLE BOGEY
o Golf RSA/HNA – for the moment, the max score allowed per hole is PAR + 2 for a course handicap of 18 or lower, or PAR + 1 + “handicap strokes on hole” for players with a course handicap of 19 or higher – this will be shown as GREEN on the individual scorecard
o USGA equitable score adjustment, shown as ORANGE on the individual scorecard
- Course handicap 9 or less max score = double bogey
- Course handicap 10 -19 max score = 7
- Course handicap 20 - 29 max score = 8
- Course handicap 30 - 39 max score = 9
- Course handicap 40 + max score = 10

GPS
o for some courses in SA, we have GPS co-ordinates to the centre of the green, this is shown on the scoring screen if GPS has been enabled by the tournament organiser and locations are turned on in your device settings – contact us with your course “centre of green” GPS co-ordinates and we will load them up for you

Competition Scorecard has been revamped, to show on both portrait and landscape screens – the scorecard will default to the main competition type, but can be changed on the App to reveal any type of competition scorecard (all calculations in the ScoreCapture system) should that be required

Search functionality has been added to viewing past and future games

New World Handicapping System Ready
oPlayers now have a handicap index to 1 decimal point. We are linked to HNA (if you have an SAGA number) and your handicap index is updated on a daily basis. Those not affiliated, are able to change their handicap index or course handicap on the App.
oThe App calculates your course handicap once you have chosen the tee you would like to play off, using your handicap index, the slope and course rating and course par
oIt also calculates your max adjusted score per hole with a Pickup button for IPS rounds
New game flow
oCurrent games are shown on the main menu screen for an easier start
oYou can now set up your game with 5 4-balls with the least amount of taps possible
oChoose as many different LIVE leaderboards as you like from our extensive list. For example, individual, betterball, alliance, “Drop to Zero”, “Scratch”, “Net” and “Points”. New calculations are always being added
oLink the game to your Society for the feature leaderboard calculations (Eclectics, Order of Merits and Rankings) and to reveal the game on your FREE Society website
oAdd players with one tap. Players are now automatically filtered by your recent partners, your Society and then your Club members. The players profile image now appears here (helpful in league games!)
oSimple double tapping to swap players around within your 4-ball or within the field you have created at the last minute using the edit function
oJoin Game has been simplified, with a simple way to scan a QR code from the Club/Society website, or by just typing in the round pin

oOn the strokeplay or stableford leaderboard, tap the players name and a detailed scorecard for all his/her rounds appears

Improved scoring screen
oNew GPS functionality for some courses (SA only for now). See how far you are to the middle of the green, without having to go into another complex GPS App
oThe different pars, strokes and distances for all the different tees chosen by the players in that 4-ball are shown

More robust league options for team administration
oSelect your team for the league via the App well in advance of your fixture
oTeam admins are able to swap players within their team from one 4-ball to another on the App (and not be able to swap players in other teams)
oOn the day, players will be able to swap within the 4-ball, to ensure the correct opponents are matched up if the managers make late changes

New individual scorecard
oNow with the new world handicapping system, all courses have different tees, with different strokes and pars, depending on where you choose to play from. The new individual scorecard caters for all of these different eventualities and shows your gross score, net score and your IPS

New “Your Rabbit Warren”
oTake on your friends in a matchplay game “Drop to Zero”, “Scratch”, “Net” or “Points” from anywhere in the world on the same day
oList the players from different games taking place, even if they are on different courses around the world and the App will work out who gets the carrot and belongs in your Rabbit Warren

Multiple bug fixes

Whole app can now be used in Portrait including the scoring screen and leaderboards. We have also added new detailed leaderboards.

Fixed anonymous error when registering a new user. Should show useful information now.
Fixed various crashes related to location and contacts.

Make privates global - ability to select a player from any current game when setting up privates
Fixed calculation error in Drop To Zero and Scratch scorecards not taking adjusted handicap into account
