About Starting Maths Reception KS1
Starting maths provides a fun and friendly introduction to numbers and numerical concepts.
Ideal for kindergarten and reception children, it covers the main numerical and mathematical concepts for beginning school and formal education. This app is useful for children at key stage 1, who need to brush up on the basics. Ideal for after school holidays when children need a refresher.
Nine levels that teach the child:
Numbers 0 to 10
Basic 2D shapes
Basic 3D shapes
Numbers 10 to 20
Clock face numbers
Counting with shapes
Basic division using simple split shapes
Pattern recognition
Opposite concepts (big and small, tall and short, wide and narrow, full and empty, etc)
Your child wins a badge at the end of each level, which can be saved as a photo or printed directly from the app.
The app is primarily aimed at 2-4 year olds but is fun to play for all young people and the young at heart!
HOW TO PLAY: Sort the items by dragging each object into it's shadow. The match is configured to only work when the dragged object is very close, to encourage accuracy and fine motor skills. Once a level is complete, a badge is unlocked.
Suitable for UK reception, Key Stage 1, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten.
