What is clicker training?:
Training with a clicker is a form of training that uses audible markers to communicate to the dog being trained what specific behavior the dog trainer is looking for. The sound of the click tells the dog that it is doing something correct and is rewarded with a treat when this sound occurs. With repetitive use of the clicker, your dog understands that it will receive a treat when it hears the clicking sound. You can train your dog to understand new complex actions such as opening doors, turning on light switches, flushing the toilet, etc., all by using the clicking function.
