みんなを熱くしたMSXのレトロゲームが復活、コンパイルの名作2D縦スクロールシューティングが登場！
AFX戦闘機、通称ZANACに搭乗し、地球外知的文明の敵を殲滅せよ！

プレイヤーはZANACを操作し、メインウェポン・サブウェポンを利用しながら敵を倒していきます。
メインウェポンはパワーチップを取る事によりパワーアップします。
サブウェポンはステージ中で取得しますが、一部弾数や時間制限があります。
このゲームは難易度調整機能（ALC）があり、敵の攻撃アルゴリズムは毎回変化します。

ザナックは1986年にコンパイルより発売されたMSX向けシューティングゲームです。
MSXとは思えないハイスピードスクロールや、戦略性が要求されるパワーアップシステムで話題になり、後にファミリーコンピューター、MSX2、プレイステーションで続編まで発売されました。

MSX規格は2013年で生誕30年を迎えました。
MSXのスペックとしては、CPUはZ80A（3.57MHz）・64KB以上のRAM・64KB以上のVRAMと、今となっては非力ではありますが、スプライト機能やPSGサウンドを標準搭載し、BASICによるプログラミングが行えるという事で、人々にコンピュータを身近なものとして提案しました。
まさにパーソナルコンピュータと言えるでしょう。
