• Album videos can now be watched directly from the alert that you receive on your phone. One less step for you, one giant leap towards a completely effortless trip for mankind.
• You’re now able to see the upload progress of treks and their accompanying media. Go ahead and get a cup of coffee, you will know the second your trek is ready.
• Photos added to your phone’s gallery via WishTrip now include the exact location where the picture was snapped. Memory lane now has a location attached to it.
These are just three of over 20 fixes and improvements that our team rolled out for this release. We are always striving to make the app better in between poker games and our own travels.

That twinkle in your eye, that devilish smile, the way your leg twitches while you sleep. Yes: You look like someone who feels the need...the need for speed. Once you catch your breath, you'll be happy to hear that you can now upload images and videos with your smartphone's native camera. This pending media feature has been overhauled so that the images of you doing a cartwheel while swallowing a flaming sword on the majestic White Cliffs of Dover will be of the highest quality. More media magic: content that's been approved in the 'trek summary' now includes the precise location where the image or video was captured. Previously, you may have noticed that the pics taken and vids recorded with your own mobile device showed 'Deception Island' Antarctica' as the location, even if you were actually sipping tea in Motuo County, China at the time.
Let us now say thanks to those unsung heroes, the debuggers. Like Napoleon said after squandering his empire at the Battle of Waterloo: "Software testers always go to heaven; they’ve already had their fair share of hell."

We cured hay fever!
Not quite. But while millions of people are walking around right now with big, bulging bug eyes because of rampant, mutant pollen, we took our biggest pair of steel-toe boots and crushed an especially nasty breed of bug. You shoulda seen those fleas flee. Full disclosure: your faithful correspondent here sneezed in delight. From now on, the app will no longer crash when you're out there recording bits or adding pics during longish wanders. And now if you'll excuse me, I'm currently experiencing a moderate to severe allergic asthma attack. Hey...who crawled off with my inhaler? Bugs!

Since our last intergalactic transmission, we’ve received word that your 4.5 billion year old spinning blue sphere will be sucked into a supermassive black hole this Thursday. Unfortunately for life as you know it, this naughty region of spacetime will only be discovered next Wednesday by a famously lazy astrophysicist.
On the bright side, you’ll be able to enjoy your remaining days with renewed confidence and vigor. Marco Polo has been turning over in his grave ever since some industrious ladies and gents put some elbow grease into it and redesigned this app’s site screen. It’s now easier to use than a one-colored Rubik’s Cube. Those clever boys and girls also made it possible for terrestrials to pull up nearby trails with the tap of their, or anyone else’s, finger. You no longer have to be a famous explorer to venture forth with confidence!
No, don’t go just yet. With your flying blue marble about to be crushed by a billion suns, there’s no better time to talk about SoI clusters. Earthlings looking to chart a new course before they’re crunched down to a singularity will be delighted to hear that a cleaner app interface combines all nearby points at a site into one. Once a user zooms in, a nifty cluster of individual points appears.
Yes, the end is nigh, but there’s no need to panic. You can rest easy tonight knowing that a third map mode has been added to the app. So as time ticks its last, you’ll more quickly gain your bearings if and when you manage to load up the truck, pack your fishing gear and go on an unplanned day trip.

When it comes to the munchies, we have nothing. But our latest updates will most certainly keep you on track. You can now navigate to a site or trek directly. Once you get to exactly where you want to be, another new feature enables you to navigate on a trek.
We still can't help you with those hunger pangs, but our newly designed trek page is so beautiful and easy to use that we're pretty sure that just one look will make you forget how famished you are.
A bit more about the trek page: you can now weigh in with comments (please be kind) about what you see.
Last but not least, our new pending media indication feature gives you the power to decide which videos, images and narrations to use for your digitized travel album.
Still hungry? Sorry about that, but this may at least fill your heart with joy: we've fixed a whole bunch of nasty bugs. When we say 'fixed' we mean 'gone for good.' Good riddance!
