1941年6月、300万人ものドイツ軍がソ連邦に侵攻した。装甲部隊を中心とするドイツ軍は快進撃を続けるが、冬将軍の到来と共に戦線は膠着して総力戦となる。こうした装甲部隊を巧みに運用するドイツ軍と、火力で押し切るソ連軍の戦いを遊びやすいコンパクトな規格で収録！

●独ソ戦とは

装甲部隊を中心としたドイツ軍のソ連侵攻は、冬将軍の到来と共にモスクワ直前で頓挫。翌年、進撃を再開したが反撃に移ったソ連軍の火力は次第に増強。苦戦するドイツ軍は、新型兵器の投入と効率良い運用で対応する。こうした総力戦は約4年に渡り繰り広げられた。
