About AltitudeAlert

Advanced Altitude Management for Pilots.

Integrated with a pilot designed flexible alerting system and VNAV (Vertical Navigation), AltitudeAlert is the first App to bring advanced altitude management to ALL pilots.

VNAV gives you unparalleled control of altitude. Use VNAV to define precisely HOW, WHEN and WHERE you want to be at a certain altitude. With customizable settings, you define how VNAV will work.

ALT HOLD Mode is specifically designed for VFR pilots requiring virtually no setup. Just tap the button and AltitudeAlert will monitor your current altitude. This mode is great for student pilots, formation flying, and pilots of vintage, ultralight, and light sport aircraft with minimal instrumentation.

Never miss an altitude assignment again. Set the altitude and AltitudeAlert alerts you prior to reaching it and again when you acquire it. Spoken alert announcements are customizable. Choose from a single chime or chime plus altitude remaining.

Need to shoot an approach? No problem! Set the minimums and AltitudeAlert will alert you 100' above minimums and again at minimums.**

**Barometric sensor required (see SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS below).

FEATURES:

• iPad version runs along side or in the background while using your favorite EFB App, i.e. Foreflight, Garmin Pilot, FlyQEFB, etc.

• VNAV (Vertical Navigation).

• Alerting for supplemental oxygen use for both pilot and passengers.

• Instrument Approach Minimums Alerting.**

**Barometric sensor required (see SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS below).

• Automatic ground reference alerting at 1000' and 500' above touchdown.

For devices WITHOUT a barometric sensor, AltitudeAlert uses GPS Altitude based alerting.

A SUBSCRIPTION IS REQUIRED TO USE ALTITUDEALERT:

• Two subscription options are available. Monthly and Yearly.
• All subscriptions include a 1-month FREE TRIAL.
• Price of the subscription is $1.49/Month USD or $12.99/Year USD.

You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.

No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during and active subscription period.

• Many updates to the Ref Alt - GPS engine. The general functionality and display mirrors the Ref Alt - BARO layout more closely. The biggest change is the removal of the "Man Adj" feature. Now manual updates to correct GPS Altitude errors is handled by tapping the "Ref Alt - GPS" label when the aircraft is level at a selected altitude. This mirrors the functionality of the calibration feature when using "Ref Alt - BARO". See the User Guide for more details.
• VNAV updates. When "Fixed Glidepath" in the VNAV Properties section, glidepath precision has been increased from x.x to x.xx. Minimum Altitude Constraint limit lowered from 100' to 1'. VNAV Configuration page navigation has been 'tightened' up, eliminating entry errors.
• All in app alerts converted to Apple's Synthetic Vocal Engine. This lays the groundwork for custom alerts in a future update.
• Corrected a bug that caused the app to crash when "Reset ALL Settings and Alerts" was toggled from the App Settings page.
• Apple Watch support officially removed from app :-(
• A bunch of behind the scenes optimizations.
