About ALS at Home - speech
ALS AT HOME - Speech (ALS Testing through Home-Based Outcome Measures) is a closed participant-only study, for registered participants only, coordinated by Barrow Neurological Institute.
The study is designed to test two questions:
First, we hope to show that ALS patients can evaluate their own function at home, so that they might be able to participate in treatment trials even if they live far away from a study center.
Second, we want to know whether frequent testing of function will improve the reliability of the tests we are using. If so, we should be able to reduce both the length of a clinical trial and the number of patients needed in each trial.
This app allows registered participants in the ALS AT HOME study to perform tasks at home with their own device.
