About Beyond Blue
Beyond Blue takes you into the near future, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the mysteries of our ocean through the eyes of Mirai, a deep sea explorer and scientist. You and your newly-formed research team will use groundbreaking technologies to see, hear, and interact with the ocean in a more meaningful way than has ever been attempted. The game features an evocative narrative, exploration of an untouched world, and adventure during the crew’s expedition.
Embracing the same inclusive development process that was used to create Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna), E-Line’s BAFTA award-winning game about Alaska Native culture, the company partnered with BBC Studios (developers of the acclaimed Blue Planet II), OceanX Media, world-class game makers, and some of science’s leading ocean experts to craft an experience that reflects the awesome wonder and unbounded mystery that infuses our planet’s beating blue heart.

Who doesn’t love an excuse to just chill and soak up some good vibes? In this new update we’ve added a brand new feature called “Dive-In Theater” which will give you the opportunity to take in the sights of your favorite regions without lifting a finger! Just dive in, sit back, and enjoy.
We’ve also heard your feedback and have unlocked activities from the start, which means you’ll be able to use your fancy suits throughout the game, including Photo Mode! Speaking of fancy suits, be on the lookout for some brand new ones we’ve added with this update.

Whale, whale, whale… we’ve got a whole boatload of kriller new content, and we ain’t squidding!
In this update, you’ll embark on Daily Activities to earn Sand Dollars that can be spent on Rare and Epic cosmetic suits for Mirai in the Store. What kinds of activities, you may ask?
• Point-to-Point Races: Master the brand new sprint swimming ability to go fast and maneuver your way around obstacles and creatures. It’s a race against the clock!
• Scavenger Hunts: Go on the hunt for relics that have
been identified in particular areas. Find one relic and unlock a new relic to find! Be on the lookout for power-ups to aid you in your quest.
• Relays: Retrieve relics and bring them back to your treasure chest. The more relics you find, the higher your score! Grab power-ups to boost your abilities.
Sometimes you've gotta go fast, other times it's good to stop and smell the anemones. The new sprint swimming ability will only work in the activities.
Be sure to show off your high scores and sweet new gear on social media with #BeyondBlueGame.

We're excited to announce that Version 1.4 brings one of our most-requested features to Beyond Blue: Photo Mode! In Photo Mode, you'll be able to freeze time to move, zoom and tilt the camera in order to set up the perfect shot. Use your device's native screenshot functionality to save it and share it! Access Photo Mode using the Photo Mode button.
In addition to Photo Mode, this update adds the following features and fixes:
- Fixed issue that prevented players from scrolling in certain instances (e.g. Free Dive Menu, Music Player)
- Disabled on-screen icons when using a controller
- Additional minor fixes and improvements
