About Chessmate: Beautiful Chess

Chessmate allows anyone to dive into a game of chess. Whether you’re a beginner (yes, I’m talking about you) or a pro (hmm, debatable), the variety of game modes will challenge you with its witty AI. Play solo, or play against a friend (or against yourself if you don’t have any)… or even let an AI play against another AI. Go grab some popcorn.

It is as beautiful as it is witty, and minimalistic as it is fun. A scrollable history view captures your previous moves, and the wonderful haptics keep you engaged.

This is chess like you’ve always known it, but better.

The Bishop of Canterbury once visited my school. He was clearly an impostor; he never once walked diagonally... Bad jokes aside, this update aims to satisfy the most prominent requests.

- Added support for castling
- Fixed layout issues on some devices where the cross button wouldn't be displayed and the history view was displaced, preventing users quitting a match
- Fixed a few crashes
