Introducing Version 5.3 – The Editor Update

Welcome to Code Master 5.3. In this update, I have decided to do a complete UI overhaul. With new graphics, controls, menus and an overall fluency upgrade for a more smooth experience. Most importantly, I am introducing the new editor to the Code Master Suite. Say hello to dedicated support for over 170 languages, as well as 70 differently coloured themes to match.

Furthermore, the project has officially been funded by Facebook! This will be an exciting year for Code Master and I intend on adding a slew of new features, as well as fluency updates. More on this soon.

Welcome back everyone, hope you all had a great holiday! In this update I have added a number of major improvements and bug fixes, as well as some fixes to backend redesign. As specified in the 5.1 update, we've also added Syntax Highlighting, as well as some free, new HTML5 templates! Not to mention, an entirely new File Management system that is both more efficient and will help us better prepare for the incoming Dropbox, Google Drive and FTP integration updates.

A fix for the bluetooth keyboard bug is coming in the next update. I apologize for the delay, I am currently working on implementing a new Syntax Highlighting editor that will be a lot more stable and fluent.

More importantly, we've fixed that annoying "Upgrade" popup that some users have been experiencing and replaced it with a small button instead. We've also added Syntax Highlighting, as well as some free, new HTML5 templates! IMPORTANT: Please backup all of your files before updating. The new local storage system is highly more efficient and will allow us to integrate services such as Dropbox, Google Drive and FTP. Unfortunately, there is no way around this and we apologize for the inconvenience. Luckily, we will not have to do this migration again.

Hello everyone! I am currently looking into the disappearing of documents issue. I apologize for the inconvenience. Luckily, they are saved somewhere on your device; I just have to find out way to fish them out. Code Master 4 worked with an SQLite platform, whereas Code Master 5 is working with real, physical documents in the device's documents folder. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and I'm dedicating these next couple of days / weeks to finding a fix.

Also, for all of those who use a physical, bluetooth keyboard – a fix is coming soon. Still trying to figure out why this is happening.

Finally, what are everyone's thoughts on fully responsive, HTML5-CSS3 templates? The feature would allow for you to choose from 50+ different templates to help get started on your site. Give me a shout via the support email if you'd like something like this to be implemented. Speaking of, if you have any ideas whatsoever, send them over via the support email. I'd be more than happy to add them on to the app!

Introducing Code Master™ 5. We've completely rebuilt the application from the ground using Swift 2.0. Please note that this is a major stability update. We've gone through 12 rounds of beta testing this application, so enjoy the smoothness! You may also notice that some features are missing. This is because we are working hard on making them more stable. As of right now, these features aren't app-ready.

Dear fellow programmers,

I realize that the app isn't everything that you've hoped. I've gone through your feedback and taken down every single request for features and/or improvements. I have decided to dedicate my all of my times to Code Master 5 and it's polished release. I am taking as much time as I possibly can out of university life to develop a professional, yet simplistic, on-the-go programming solution. I am looking into things such as dedicated syntax highlighting for individual languages, as well as live syncing with Dropbox, Google Drive, FTP, etc.

You must also understand that the app is made 100% free to the public so there is no income being generated out of it. In a nutshell, this means that the current budget for Code Master comes out of my own pocket. When it comes to purchasing professional libraries that allow for effecient syncing between these libraries, as well as 3rd party cloud services, all cost money to purchase and license. So, as for now at least, I have to build these features from the ground up with my current knowledge of programming. Saying that, do not doubt my ability to program. I'm pretty good if I can find some time to actually dedicate towards this project.

Future updates are right around the corner. Again, I am dedicating all of my free time to this project of mine. Stay tuned.

I would just like to start off by letting you guys know that there are some major features in the works, some that will benefit the user greatly. The Code Master suite is going through a major redesign, along with a complete rewrite using Apple’s newly released Swift programming language. I understand that the engine is a bit old and I would just like to thank each and every one of you for putting up with it.

Firstly, Code Master is going to be redeveloped as the major product in mind. Meaning that the app itself will no longer be thought of as the ‘lite’ version of Code Master Pro, but instead, an entire packaged suite. We’ve seen a major rise in downloads over the past few months and we’d like to give the users a reason to stay. We’ve already started implementing this state of mind with the iCloud integration, however, it will take full effect as Code Master 4 is released.

As for Code Master Pro, there will of course be benefits to upgrading as the software will take more of an in-depth focus on each individual programming language, as well as more frequent improvements. However, we believe you guys will be well off with the original, free version.

The time frame in which the Code Master suite will be complete is still unknown. I will aim to release it alongside iOS 8.

Code Master 3 is here, now with over 20 new features and 40 new improvements. We've completely recoded the HTML Engine from the ground up to bring you an even more dedicated-web design software for the iOS platform.
