Get revved for the return of the Grand Prix to the Streets of Downtown Detroit for the first time since 1991, with the new Detroit GP app. Providing the latest Chevrolet Grand Prix presented by Lear news, directions and key information, the Detroit GP app will keep fans informed and connected leading up to and during one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Detroit.
In 2023, the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear returns to the Streets of Downtown Detroit. The newly designed 1.7-mile, nine-turn race course features some of the most well-traveled roads in Detroit, along with some of the most iconic and popular attractions in the Motor City. Customize your race weekend experience with the Detroit GP app and stay on the lead lap with events happening on and off the track, along with directions to the must-see places at the circuit and around Downtown Detroit.
With a history of great racing in both Downtown Detroit and on the Belle Isle track since 1982, the Detroit Grand Prix will carry on the city’s tradition of motorsports competition as it enters a new era in 2023. The high-performance cars and world-class athletes of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, INDY NXT by Firestone and the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli will put the new Downtown circuit to the test, June 2-4 at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear. Fans can opt-in to receive Push Notifications to keep up with the latest breaking news, updates and scheduling alerts for all the important happenings at the Grand Prix. In addition to the on-track action, the turbocharged Grand Prix Motor City street party includes many family-friendly, off-the-track activities including concerts, great food, the Meijer Fan Zone, and the Small Business Straightaway featuring product and service displays from more than 30 businesses representing all districts across Detroit. Plus, fans can add driver autograph sessions, unique viewing opportunities and victory celebrations in the Autotrader Winner’s Circle to their weekend itinerary. Welcoming everyone in the community to be a part of this unique and exciting weekend in Detroit, the Grand Prix is providing access to more than half of its venue completely for free to fans. From key activation areas in Hart Plaza, Spirit Plaza, the beautiful Detroit Riverfront and the numerous viewing platforms along Jefferson Avenue, fans are welcome to experience all the fun and excitement of Grand Prix weekend FREE of charge!
