The personal annotations feature has been significantly upgraded in the following ways:

• Sharing to a predefined audience – An audience manager in Publishing Hub will allow you to create and manage audiences. End users’ will then be able to choose which audience to share it with.

Force Install: Publishing Hub and Mobile Viewer
We have added a new setting in Publishing Hub called ‘Force Install. Force Install can be set at a Group, or Document level. If set at the former, it will be inherited by all the documents in the Group that have a Mandatory Permission. Force Install documents will be automatically downloaded and installed whenever the Mobile Viewer performs an Update Check. i.e. end users will not have to explicitly action their download. This has been designed to provide assurance that end-users remain up to date for critical documents

Other changes,
• The main library filter now accepts Group titles and document codes.
• After selecting a Group Link, the destination Group will flash and pulse briefly to indicate which group has been opened.
• Library Tags that have been selected can be unapplied by tapping on the Tag lozenge at the top of the Left-Hand Panel without having to open the Tag Manager. This also applies to Annotation Tags.
• For partners that requested it, the ‘Include documents with no tags’ setting will now be turned off by default.
Issues addressed
The following issues present in v4.5 have been fixed:
• Switching to Dark Mode resulted in initial residual dark patches. • A crash that could occur after profile-switch.
• A crash that could occur when profile switching via a hyperlink. • A crash could occur after cancelling a profile creation.
• The first ever authentication could stall and require the app to be restarted.
• The App could crash while downloading a large library.
• Unable to download large files >2 GB.
• The Updates button intermittently failed to recover after reconnecting to a network.
• An error after performing Document Clean up.
• Poor performance when trying to use the Tag filter with a large number (>50) of Tags.
• The underlying cause responsible for the Requested Document Cannot be Opened error.
• The underlying cause preventing a document from being deleted from the Updates Page.

Known Issues in v4.6
• Updating the library is quicker if you remain on the Updates page. Running updates in the background while still viewing documents will be slower (due to the updates being made to the library as they are installed).
• The Text size sliders in the Settings can cause the application to crash. This is more noticeable on older devices.
• iPad Split screen use is still only supported where the application occupies 2/3 of the screen on sub 11-inch devices, or half the screen on larger iPads.
• When the user explicitly sets the theme of the app to Light or Dark, if this is opposite to the devices theme, the status bar will become invisible.
• If the number of breadcrumb entries exceeds the available screen width, the deepest breadcrumb is not always scrolled into view.

UI Improvements
Integrated Library Filtering
A consolidated library filter has been added to the top of the left-hand panel. This contains the Favourite Star, the Document Title filter, the Read and Sign filter and two new functions:
• New – Tapping this will filter the library to show new, or updated documents.
• CrewNet – Tapping this will filter your library to show only CrewNet notices. This filter will only appear if you use CrewNet.
When launching the app, the filter will open by default, but tapping a filter icon will collapse it.
Updates to Tab Management
Following the Mobile Viewer’s support for an increased number of open documents, we are providing simplified tab management. Performing a long press on a document’s tab will generate the below range of options:
• Close – Close the current document.
Close all – Close all documents.
• Close all but this – Close all documents apart from the one being currently displayed
• New tab – Open a new tab; this will open the Support Screen. The ‘+’ icon that is currently used for this function will remain, but will be migrated to a new fixed location next to the breadcrumbs icon.
