Join ecolibrium to tackle the impact of travel in the live events industry and beyond.
This travel carbon calculator from UK charity ecolibrium enables you to calculate emissions from travel: record journeys and carbon balance those journeys through ecolibrium’s climate solution programmes.
Whether you take the train, fly or drive, the app allows you to record the miles/km you travel, and the carbon emissions your journey creates. You can then balance or ‘offset’ your carbon emissions through our Energy Revolution programme (renewable energy projects) or Trees+ programme (tree planting, protection and regeneration).
The app provides advice on how to reduce your travel carbon footprint, as well as how to carbon balance other activities in your life, with investments that result in positive environmental actions to tackle the effects of climate change.
ecolibrium is a live events industry response to the climate crisis – a community of events, festivals, suppliers, artists and music companies taking action to reduce the environmental impacts of travel, the largest source of emissions from live events.
Since 2015, ecolibrium has worked with over 55 events and 40 suppliers to balance the carbon emissions from over 13 million travel miles. We provide resources, tools, advice and inspiration to reduce travel emissions and invest in climate solutions – supporting ecosystem protection, regeneration and clean energy generation.
We believe that reducing emissions and supporting climate solutions is vital, but our aims are more ambitious; the live events industry has the potential to inspire and educate millions of people each year, highlighting key issues and showing leadership by taking action on the climate crisis.
