About High Performance Home Tour

Join us for the 2023 High Performance Home Tour, a free, self-guided tour of unique green certified homes throughout the Triangle-area of NC. Begin at any home you like and see firsthand some of the innovative high-performance building practices at work in our area.

The High Performance Home Tour will take place on April 29-30 from Noon - 5 pm. See one or all of the homes on the tour at your leisure. This is a free event and no registration is required!

This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about green certified homes and all their many benefits. Some homes will be incomplete which allows visitors to see the green features that are "behind the walls". Triangle home buyers looking for healthy, energy efficient, and cost-effective homes are in for a treat when enjoying the 2023 tour. There is the opportunity to reach out to builders to answer questions and present high-performance features.

To be eligible for the High Performance Home Tour, the home has to be certified with one of the following programs:

- NGBS (National Green Building Standards)
- EcoSelect
- Energy Star
- LEED
- Passive House
- DOE Zero Energy Ready Home
- Duke Energy HERO Program
The mobile app features homes, advertisers, and business listings in the home building and home buying industry:
