About iDied

iDied is a database of 500 weird, freakish, strange, bizarre and stupid ways people have died. We have included deaths from history as well as those reported in news stories from all over the world.

Here are some examples:

1993: Garry Hoy, a Toronto lawyer, fell to his death after he threw himself through the glass wall on the 24th floor of the Toronto-Dominion Centre in order to prove the glass was "unbreakable."

A head-on collision with his own radio-controlled plane was what killed Roger Wallace from Arizona in 2001. He lost sight of the 3kg machine in the sun and it crashed into his head at 40mph.

A fierce gust of wind blew 45-year-old Vittorio Luise's car into a river near Naples, Italy, in 1983. He managed to break a window, climb out and swim to shore -- where a tree blew over and killed him.

Deaths are in 8 convenient categories including "Technology", "Freak Accidents" and our personal favorite: "Just Plain Stupid".

There is also an option to share your favorite death.

After using this app, you will definitely want to go "quietly in your sleep!"
