About Interpreter Foundation
The Interpreter Foundation app offers immediate access to the articles and other resources available from the Interpreter Foundation, a nonprofit educational organization focused on the scriptures of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Its journal, Interpreter: A Journal of Mormon Scripture, publishes weekly, peer-reviewed scholarly articles. Other posts on both of our websites, interpreterfoundation.org and www.mormoninterpreter.com, are not necessarily peer-reviewed, but are approved by Interpreter’s Executive Board.
Use your phone or tablet to see a listing of our most recent publications and news; read or listen to the latest Journal articles; read a KnoWhy relating to the reading assignment for a Gospel Doctrine lesson; or watch a Roundtable discussion on the same lesson. Access our Gospel Doctrine Lesson Index to link to both the Lesson materials on LDS.org and to pertinent articles on our websites and other related websites.
The Interpreter Foundation is a nonprofit educational organization focused on the scriptures of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price, the Bible, and the Doctrine and Covenants), early LDS history, and related subjects. Our goal is to increase understanding of scripture through careful scholarly investigation and analysis of the insights provided by a wide range of ancillary disciplines, including language, history, archaeology, literature, culture, ethnohistory, art, geography, law, politics, philosophy, etc. Interpreter will also publish articles advocating the authenticity and historicity of LDS scripture and the Restoration, along with scholarly responses to critics of the LDS faith. We hope to illuminate, by study and faith, the eternal spiritual message of the scriptures—that Jesus is the Christ.
