About Islamic Prayer Time
Prayer Times (Athan)
The second most import pillar of Islam is the daily prayer (Salah). It’s vital to pray on time without delay. Prayer times vary from place to place because they are not based on clock but on planet movements. The time of sunrise and sunset varies from one location to another hence requires complex mathematic calculations to determine the approximate times.
This application use standard calculation methodologies and also provides options to choose different calculation methods based on your location. I have also included a unique feature that will inform you the time when the last 3rd of the night begins. This is useful for those who offer the Tahajjud (Qiyam Layl) prayer, as we know from the Hadith of the Prophet SAW that the best time to offer the night prayer is the last 3rd of the night.
Features include:
•Notifications for the five daily prayers
•Time remaining for the next prayer
•Navigate to previous days or next days prayer times
•Imsak time (15 minutes before Fajr to stop eating Sahur)
•Tahajjud time (last 3rd of the night)
•Options to choose Standard or Hanafi for Asr calculation
•6 different prayer times conventions including ISNA, Muslim World League, Makkah, Egypt, Tehran and Karachi
•etc
