About LiVo - Home Control

With LiVo you are able to control and manage your Apple HomeKit and openHAB compatible accessories.

LiVo offers a variety of customizing features: you can individualize the user interface with your own style preferences or use one of the provided stylesheets. The new dynamic panels are automatically generated out of your HomeKit room and scenes configuration or out of the given openHAB sitemap.

In "User Mode" LiVo starts directly with your preferred panel, hiding all the editing and management functions. With the new dynamic panels you will be able to start using LiVo right away. Individual sections of dynamic panels (rooms and groups) can later be converted to custom panels for further individualization.

We extended LiVo to support all relevant HomeKit features such as homes, rooms, scenes and accessories.

You can try LiVo for free. The free version allows you to create up to two panels and to control up to two HomeKit rooms or openHAB groups in one dynamic panel.

You can upgrade LiVo via in app purchase to the full version and use it without any limitations and without ads.

LiVo supports the following home automation systems:
- Apple HomeKit
- openHAB (http://www.openhab.org)
- HomeMatic (requires CCU2 controller)

With this update we introduce a completely new connectivity layer into LiVo. The initial synchronization is no longer required so that the start up of LiVo is further improved. Also we provided additional device specific selection lists for command assignment to widgets in order to improve the usability of the whole panel design process.

We also completely refactored the communication to the HomeMatic controller in order to better support larger installations. The communication between LiVo and the HomeMatic controller was optimized for smaller data packages to be transferred and so to avoid timeouts during the requests of devices, channels and datapoints.

Due to the changes in the communication layers, an initial data migration is required. This takes place only the first time LiVo is started after the update and may take a few seconds. We carefully tested the migration, nevertheless in some specific cases you may have to reassign commands to the widgets.

Pls. update to Version 2.9 as the migration will be only supported for the next few updates. Starting with our future version 3.0 (scheduled for fall 2017) the data models from versions < 2.9 won’t be supported any longer.

We really appreciate your feedback and your ratings on the AppStore. Most of the new features of LiVo were requested from users giving us feedback on the AppStore or via email. Pls. share your ideas with us and help us to improve LiVo.
