About Miner Safety & Health

Understand your rights as a miner, search and utilize safety and health best practices, and receive notifications of fatal accidents that occur in the mining community.

 The accident notifications are intended to initiate enhanced awareness of miner’s performing similar work throughout our nation’s mines. Our goal is that you can take what you learn in this app and thwart similar accidents performed by miners.   

The app is divided into four main sections as follows; Safety Topics, Health Topics, Miners’ Rights, About MSHA, and we also added a Contact Us section. Each section contains the content or information that will be useful for the user.

The Miner Safety & Health App is an app designed for miners to keep them safe and healthy on mine sites. In response to our stakeholders, MSHA has developed a new feature within the app. The App features a new section titled “Safety Alerts” where Miners can access critical safety and health alerts as well as messages from the Assistant Secretary. This feature allows miners to utilize previous push notifications as well as new notifications as they are released. MSHA listened and has responded to the feedback we received from stakeholders to bring you this useful resource.
