About NCORE CONFERENCE

The National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education (NCORE)-A dynamic five day event

KNOWLEDGE-BASED LEARNING
Individuals and campus teams collaborate with recognized and effective practitioners and change makers to transform higher education’s mission for diversity and inclusion for students, staff, faculty and administrators.

A CULTURAL PLACE FOR GROWTH
In the multi-racial/multi-ethnic and intersectional identity space of NCORE attendees interact about issues of race, ethnicity, sovereignty, institutional racism, historical discrimination, and social justice from one’s own social location and developmental place.

LEARNING COMMUNITY WITH CRITICAL MASS
At NCORE, a person of color can be in space/place with hundreds of other faculty, staff and administrators of color whose sole purpose is to learn about the most current teaching methods, assessment measures, research methods, demographic research, professional development practices and other higher education support for underrepresented students, faculty and staff. There is also a critical mass of White faculty, staff and students interested in these same purposes
