About NetScore Netball Scoring

If you have ever stood on the side of a Netball court wondering what the score is, and how long left (or even which quarter we are in) then this is the App for you. It lets you keep track of the scores, shots and turnovers by period, by registering goals and missed shots with a single touch.

You want to watch the match and not be distracted by having to record scores in a cumbersome way. On the other hand you want to see match statistics, what the shooting percentage was, and shooting rates for both GS and GA separately either during the match or at the end.

NetScore allows to to achieve all of this while still enjoying the match.

You can set the tournament and team names, save and retrieve previous matches, and share your results with others. You can optionally keep track of non-scoring events (such as interceptions and rebounds) by position and named player so you can see the effectiveness of your whole team. You can pre-load a series of matches (a whole tournament, for example), then recall them when you're ready to start and there's not much time between matches. You can even change the colour scheme to suit you.

Sep 23, 2021
This release contains an extra feature for larger iPhones and all iPads. It shows the match events as they occur during a match within the scoreboard screen, so you can instantly see how the match is progressing.

There are also some bug fixes in here too.
2.2.8
Jun 8, 2021
This version contains some exciting new squad management features. You can create and manage squads and assign them to matches. This allows you to choose only from squad members rather than your entire player list. You can now pre-load players for a match either for the whole match, or with changes at each period start, so you don't have to do this during the match when you're busy. There is also an improved method of changing players during a match (for injury etc.) where you can see the whole team and change the necessary players, rather than showing each player individually.
2.2.7

Just some minor bug fixes this time around
2.2.6
Jan 19, 2021
This version introduces the ability to use SuperShots. These are goals that score more than a single point if achieved from a greater distance from the net. You can choose whether to use them and how many points a SuperShot is worth.

A number of bugs have also been fixed.

This version contains the following changes.
You can now record the names of the umpires for a match within the Match Setup Screen.
There is a new Player Profile report (PDF) that shows all information for each player (shooting stats, performance stats, match time etc.).
A new match statistic is included - Centre Pass to Goal - indicating how many times your team's Centre Pass resulted in a goal for you.
The Player Centre has been improved so you can more easily see player statistics and information, including details of matches played, time spent in each position, and Performance Points
A number of small fixes and UI tweaks have been applied

Some new features to enjoy in this version

* If you have registered names against players for a match, their player-specific performance statistics are now included in the email and Match Report. This is in addition to the position-specific statistics already shown
* It is now much easier to access and maintain your Performance Plans. Simply touch 'Manage Plans' within Team Performance, and you can add, change and remove plans as necessary
* You can now share match results via other apps in addition to Twitter. Just tap on SHARE RESULT from the options menu when a match is in progress (or just finished)

Sep 1, 2017
Following feedback, there are a couple of handy new features in this release.

The timer will now continue to run even when the app goes into the background, so if you need to take a call or access any other apps your match timer will continue to run, and will show the latest time when you resume NetScore. If the remaining time in the current period expires, the timer will automatically end the period, leaving you ready for the next period to start.

The Pause feature continues to suspend the main timer, but now it shows a stoppage timer to record how long the suspension of play is for. You can choose whether this is Umpire or Injury time. The stoppage is recorded in the match stats for later review. Each time you suspend play, you can choose the type of suspension. Each individual suspension is recorded separately. While play is suspended, you can continue to view the match stats or make team changes.

I've also added a new colour scheme for Diamonds fans.
