About Night Clock
Night Clock is the simplest analogue clock for your nightstand, designed to be easy on your eyes in darkness so you don't wake yourself up trying to figure out what time it is.
Dim your display and use the default Classy Red face for the lowest light levels, get a little daring with Fizzy Orange, or blend in with your decor with Oak Brown. There are a dozen colour choices* to choose from.
If you allow Night Clock to use your location, it will slowly dim the colours after sunset and return to full brightness by sunrise. Or, if you choose one of the new "night and day" schemes, the colour will change completely between night and day. This capability works best in conjunction with the iOS Auto-Brightness setting being on. (General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations.)
And if you're just too wired to sleep, turn on the sweep second hand with a tap on the sweep button. It will make two full revolutions and then slowly fade out. You might find that as it fades, so do you to restful sleep.

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

It's now easier to control Night Clock with larger buttons and direct access to the second hand. (A long press on the clock face will still work, too.)
* Two new "day and night" colour schemes
* Pure black background option for OLED screens
The "day and night" colour schemes switch between two distinct colours during twilight. The warm setting is red at night and yellow during the day. The cool goes from blue at night to green in the day. Even if your curtains are closed, you'll be able to tell when it is twilight just by looking at Night Clock.
There's a new setting to always use pure black for the background, which is especially great for those with the new iPhone X with its OLED screen.
* Display refinements
The Settings page has been decluttered and the clock face is better at dealing with colour changes. Small accommodations have also been made for iPhone X.
