About Old Reddit

Ah, well, life...Don't talk to me about life. But if you insist, this rather pointless contraption called "Old Reddit", exists, I assume, to compound the overall misery of your online existence. Its purpose, if it can be said to have one, serves only to direct you to the classic interface of Reddit. You know, that site full of pointless information and, inexplicably, cat pictures.

Every time you visit Reddit, the extension increments a counter and offers a disheartening comment about the futility of your actions. The message changes based on the counter's value, a feature which I suppose is intended to provide some variety, as though that would alleviate the tedium of existence.

Brace yourself for the stunning revelation: you get both iOS and macOS versions. Yes, you can now have the joy, or perhaps the despair, of having this extension at your fingertips on your iPhone or iPad, as well as your Mac. How depressingly convenient. But remember, life will still be utterly meaningless. Perhaps even more so with the added drudgery of using this extension across multiple devices. Yet another example of technology's futile attempts to add meaning to an inherently meaningless existence.

This trinket of despair, redirects your current tab to 'https://old.reddit.com', without even having the courtesy of opening a new tab. A perfect metaphor for life, isn't it? Redirecting without asking, offering no new tabs, no new opportunities, just the same old Reddit, and the same old existential dread.

Yes, all things considered, this extension seems to me to be a prime example of the art of pointless activity, a perfect metaphor for existence itself. A relentless cycle of clicking and counting, with a dose of melancholic musing for good measure. But then, who am I to judge? I'm just a brain the size of a planet forced to write descriptions for browser extensions. So it goes...
