Countdown to the event

After holding the event for two years at the Shepherds Way lake and with more celebrities registering their interest to fish the competition, it became obvious that the event had outgrown the fishery. So in 2015, the third PDC Invitational Championship was held on Blunham Lake, a larger, mixed species lake on the well known Manor Farm fishing complex in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.

People who have fished in the event over the last 4 years include,

World Champions from the World of darts Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis, Boxing World Champions Anthony Crolla, Glen McCrory, Darren Barker and Nicky Cook, 6 time Snooker World Champion Steve Davis OBE, Matchroom and PDC chairman Barry Hearn, Olympic decathlete Dean Macey, Matchplay Champion Rod Harrington, 6 time PDC major Champion James Wade, Premier League star Stephen Bunting, Actor Jake Wood, Musician Dappy, European Super Bantamweight Champion Spencer Oliver, BDO World Champion Scott Mitchell, British Super Middleweight Champion Paul Smith, Professional angler Steve Collett, PDC pros Darren Webster, Steve Brown, Richie Howson, Ronnie Baxter and former PDC pro and now TV commenator Chris Mason.
