Sky Protect continues to take steps to improve your experience whilst using our app, this release is no different. As well as a host of smaller, less obvious fixes and improvements, we’ve fine-tuned the speak-through functionality of the Video Doorbell for a smoother and faster experience.

In this week's release, the Sky Protect team has continued its focus on improving your experience whilst using the app. There have been some changes to the way we use portrait and landscape modes whilst viewing lives streams to stop a crash that has been occurring. We have made some improvements to some of the language used in the people section and some error messages to make it clear to you what the Sky Protect app is doing.

We have added a new online claims process for your Home Emergency cover. Simply go to the Insurance tab and tap “Start a claim” to reveal the new claims link.

In our venture to continually improve your experience in the Sky Protect app, we’ve made some small but necessary changes in this release.
There have been improvements to adding emergency contacts for when an escalation is started. We have introduced our new App Status Service which will allow us to alert you to when new and improved functionality has been added and it’s time to update. There is some new information within the insurance tab as well as a fix for a navigation issue when viewing documents. As well as a host of small UI tweaks and improvements.

We have squashed a bug that caused an error to appear when tapping on a phone number within the insurance screen and addressed an issue where there was no visible option to navigate back from the Help & FAQ screen. We have also addressed a crash that was occurring when trying o download your insurance documentation.
