3) Also, few bug fix and minor enhancements here and there.
We remain to value constructive feedback with the aim to understand the needs of each other better so that the app can be refined.
After attentively reading through previous version reviews, finally here are some feedback that hopefully can address some of the most common App Store reviews topics.
1. App not supported on iOS7:
This was a tough call. We are really sorry if you are still on iOS7 and couldn't upgrade the app but please do understand we neither can deny the other large majority users the features benefits of the upgraded app that are enabled by iOS8 & above. You can however temporarily use our Web version specially built for you to continue to check grocery product prices on, just browse to www.smartshopper.my and bookmark it. We hope to see you back to the app soon to enjoy the extended features such as personalized shopping lists, E-Vouchers, smart shopping contents etc. when you upgrade your phone.
2. Provision of mobile number for logging in:
Let us first reiterate --- WE SIMPLY DO NOT SHARE USER PERSONAL INFORMATION TO 3RD PARTIES WITHOUT CONSENT, including your mobile number registered for log in. Relax... We, the developers are human too who also face annoying sms spams and wouldn't be so cheapskate to want to expose our users to it. Your mobile number login is purely used as an unique identifier so that your user profiles / shopping lists / vouchers / messages are kept across multiple devices. Mobile number is chosen simply because it's the most universal for everyone --- not everyone is good at remembering so many login IDs and passwords! Should you still feel uncomfortable and not place your trust in us by logging in with your mobile number, we do regret but you may walk away from the app. Please do not unfairly make up accusations of us selling your mobile numbers away and influence other users from enjoying the app.
Should you have concerns using the app, please do not stop short at just leaving us a critical review. Write to us at info@smartshopper.my about the concerns to allow discourse so that it can be clarified and contributed back to the development of the app for the user community.
