I. GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1. The Department of Culture is a body of municipal government and in its activity is subordinate to the administration of the city of Suum. It is an integral part of the unified system of structural divisions of the city.
1.2. The Culture Department of the City Administration (hereinafter referred to as the Culture Department) implements in Sukhum a policy in the field of culture, art, preservation of cultural heritage and bears responsibility for its implementation within its competence.
1.3. In its activity, the Culture Department is guided by the legislative acts of the Republic of Abkhazia, by orders and orders of the Administration of Sukhum and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Abkhazia.
1.4. Department of Culture is on a budget, is a legal entity and has a seal with the image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Abkhazia and its name, as well as an angular stamp. Can act as a plaintiff and defendant in court, arbitration.
