This update introduces the new Inbox feature. Add images and PDFs to Under My Roof's Inbox via a share extension without opening Under My Roof (iCloud syncing must be enabled). You can then create new items using the added images and PDFs as photos and receipts or add them to an existing part of your inventory as photos, receipts, or file attachments later on.

This update expands the type of information you can keep in Under My Roof. You will need to update Under My Roof to the latest version on all of your devices to continue syncing data with this version.

Full list of new features and changes:

• New Inbox feature that serves as a holding area for images and PDFs so they can be used later.
• Create new items directly from the Inbox, using the images and PDFs you selected as photos and receipts.
• Add photos, receipts, and file attachments to existing entries from the Inbox.
• New Send to Under My Roof Inbox share extension lets you send images and PDFs to your inventory's Inbox without having to open Under My Roof.
• You can now open Under My Roof directly from an image or PDF file and the selected file(s) will be added to the Inbox.
• Added a new binary data export option for exporting photos, receipts, and file Attachments.
• New Make, Part Number, and Notes fields for Parts & Supplies entries for Repairs and Changes (Modifications/Renovations).
• New Account Number field for Policies.
• Added a new option, Returned, for marking Disposed Items that have been returned to the store.
• Disposed items marked as Gifted, Donated, or Sold now have an optional Contact field for recording the contact information of the person the item was given or sold to.
• Fixed an issue where some devices were no longer receiving realtime notifications from iCloud that new data needed to be downloaded. The data would eventually be downloaded the next time the app was launched and in other circumstances where Under My Roof actively checks for new data. This only affected Under My Roof being notified right after a change was made elsewhere.
• Fixed a camera focusing issue when scanning barcodes under iOS/iPadOS 16.
1.3.7
Oct 6, 2022
• Fixed a bug with re-queueing entries for syncing when encountering certain types of sync errors.

1.3.5
Aug 29, 2022
In addition to inventory-wide search and other enhancements in version 1.3.4, this update addresses some issues with deleting categories and locations with sub-categories or sub-locations:

• Fixed a bug where deleting a location with sub-locations will only move items in the top location to the (unspecified) location. Items in the sub-locations will now also be moved to (unspecified). Prior to the fix, they had no location, though these items were still visible when browsing All Items, Categories, Collections, Heirs, and Tags.

• Fixed a bug where deleting a category with sub-categories will only move items in the top category to the (uncategorized) category. Items in the sub-categories will now also be moved to (uncategorized). Prior to the fix, they had no category, though these items were still visible when browsing All Items, Collections, Heirs, Locations, and Tags.

• When deleting a location, the deletion prompt now includes sub-locations when informing you of the number of items that will be moved to the (unspecified) location upon deletion.

• When deleting a category, the deletion prompt now includes sub-categories when informing you of the number of items that will be moved to the (uncategorized) category upon deletion.

• When deleting a location, any moving boxes in that location or any of its sub-locations are now moved to the deleted location's parent location.

• Deleting a moving box will not delete any moving boxes that are packed inside of the deleted box. They must now be deleted separately.

From Version 1.3.4:

• Inventory-wide search! Tap or click the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner of the Home Area to open the search panel.

1.1.1
Aug 12, 2021
In addition to custom reports added in version 1.1, this update adds an additional way to backup and restore your inventory data with inventory archives.

Using Under My Roof's sync support is the best way to keep your inventory in sync across all of your devices, while providing an always up-to-date backup in iCloud. Inventory archives offer an additional measure of protection by offering a way to export a snapshot of your inventory that can be saved locally on your device. Should you ever need to restore your inventory from scratch and are not using (or do not wish to use) iCloud, you can use an archive file to do so.

We also fixed an issue that arose when importing the same (or versions of the same) Home Inventory 3 .hi3 file into Under My Roof multiple times. This could result in locations and collections in each home having the same internal identifiers as locations and collections in another imported home. This would cause them to become merged when syncing. We also created a utility to fix this problem, should it affect you.
