• New Add From Receipt feature that streamlines data entry. Tap and hold the Add Item button at the bottom of the Item List and select Add From Receipt to use the built-in camera to scan a receipt. The New Item Panel is then shown with the scanned receipt attached and the Purchased From and Purchase Date fields seeded with values recognized from the receipt.

• When adding a new item where a receipt has been added inside the New Item Panel or creating a new item from a receipt in the Inbox, you can use the Select Receipt Text button to select text from the receipt and use it to set the value of the field. This is available for most text fields, date fields, and currency fields.

• The Select Receipt Text feature is also available when editing an existing item that already has a receipt.

• If you add a receipt inside the New Item Panel or use the Inbox to add a new item from a receipt, Under My Roof will try to automatically seed the Purchased From and Purchase Date fields from text it finds in the receipt.

• When disposing of an Item with a quantity greater than one, you can now choose the quantity to be disposed. This option is not available if you are disposing of multiple items at once via multi-select.

This update fixes an issue with incorrectly calculating the area of non-rectangular rooms in 3D room scans. 3D room scans exhibiting this behavior will need to be rescanned. Rest assured that the development team (Kevin) feels much shame. This update also includes all of the wonderful new features and fixes introduced in version 1.6:

• Create 3D scans of the locations in your home, using a LiDAR-capable iPhone Pro (12 Pro and later) or iPad Pro (Spring 2020 and later models). Just tap the + button in the Photos section of a Location's Detail View and select From Room Scan.

The item will now appear in the Location List and it will also be a valid choice in many places where you can choose a location.

Fixed an issue with the Options Menu button not always being visible on the iPad in portrait mode in iPadOS 16.1 and later. This update also includes all of the enhancements and fixes in version 1.4.1:

This update introduces the new Inbox feature. Add images and PDFs to Under My Roof's Inbox via a share extension without opening Under My Roof (iCloud syncing must be enabled). You can then create new items using the added images and PDFs as photos and receipts or add them to an existing part of your inventory as photos, receipts, or file attachments later on.

This update expands the type of information you can keep in Under My Roof. You will need to update Under My Roof to the latest version on all of your devices to continue syncing data with this version.

This only affected Under My Roof being notified right after a change was made elsewhere.
• Fixed a camera focusing issue when scanning barcodes under iOS/iPadOS 16.

• Fixed a bug with re-queueing entries for syncing when encountering certain types of sync errors.

• Addressed an issue with splitting sync operations into separate operations when receiving the request from iCloud in a certain way. Previously, the entire batch would be re-queued for sync.

In addition to inventory-wide search and other enhancements in version 1.3.4, this update addresses some issues with deleting categories and locations with sub-categories or sub-locations:

• Fixed a bug where deleting a location with sub-locations will only move items in the top location to the (unspecified) location. Items in the sub-locations will now also be moved to (unspecified). Prior to the fix, they had no location, though these items were still visible when browsing All Items, Categories, Collections, Heirs, and Tags.

• Fixed a bug where deleting a category with sub-categories will only move items in the top category to the (uncategorized) category. • When deleting a location, any moving boxes in that location or any of its sub-locations are now moved to the deleted location's parent location.

Minor fixes and improvements:

• You can now mark a home as trash in the Detail View. In order to permanently delete a home, it must first be marked as trash. Only then can it be permanently deleted. You can also restore a home that has been marked as trash to you inventory should it have been marked as such by mistake.
• Fixed a bug where maintenance tasks for disposed items or related to homes marked as trash would still appear in the maintenance schedule.
• Fixed an issue with accepting a share request when Under My Roof was not already running.
• Reworded the confirmation text when marking a home as 'trash'.
• Log messages requesting that iCloud notify Under My Roof when the database has been changed were incorrectly classified as errors. They are now listed as informative.
• Changed the title of the button to view prior What's New entries in the What's New Panel to say "Versions".

In addition to custom reports added in version 1.1, this update adds an additional way to backup and restore your inventory data with inventory archives.

Using Under My Roof's sync support is the best way to keep your inventory in sync across all of your devices, while providing an always up-to-date backup in iCloud. Inventory archives offer an additional measure of protection by offering a way to export a snapshot of your inventory that can be saved locally on your device. Should you ever need to restore your inventory from scratch and are not using (or do not wish to use) iCloud, you can use an archive file to do so.

We also fixed an issue that arose when importing the same (or versions of the same) Home Inventory 3 .hi3 file into Under My Roof multiple times. This could result in locations and collections in each home having the same internal identifiers as locations and collections in another imported home. This would cause them to become merged when syncing. We also created a utility to fix this problem, should it affect you.
