About Urdu Reader

Urdu Reader is a powerful AI text-to speech app. For those who can speak Urdu, but who cannot read or write: overseas Pakistanis; those with eyesight issues, etc.

You can upload Urdu documents/text (PDF, Word, or from the Web) and the App will convert into Urdu speech.

The App will also convert Urdu Tweets into speech. Later on, we wil build a feature allowing you to chose your Twitter personality to follow. For now, you can send us the names of those whom you would like to follow and we will add them for you.

The Audio Blog feature allows the personality, whom you wish to follow, to send you a voice message / memo of up to 2min. The personality can get their message directly to their followers.

The App also converts Urdu newspaper articles into speech.

My Father was an avid reader, but lost his eyesight due to diabetes. Many people from Asian origin have a similar problem. Almost 20% of the Pakistani population is illiterate, but they have smart phones. Also, many overseas Pakistanis cannot read Urdu (me included). This App was designed for those Users in mind.
