# About Western Pulaski Water District

The Western Pulaski County Water District was formed by the merger of Oakhill Water Association, Pleasant Hill Water and Pulaski Water District #02. The Oakhill Water Association’s By-Laws went into effect July 22, 1969 and the Articles of Incorporation were filed with the Public Service Commission on July 23, 1970. Oakhill Water Association was formed by W.W. Kelly with the monthly board meetings at his home on Oakhill Rd. Oakhill Water Association was dissolved and merged into the Pulaski Water District in February 1996. Pleasant Hill Water was formed in April 1963 by Glen Neikirk. Monthly board meetings were held in the garage of Mr. Neikirk. Pulaski Water District #02 was formed in 1968 by Charles Pierce with the monthly board meetings at the home of Mr. Pierce. Pleasant Hill Water and Pulaski Water District #02 merged in March 1997 which then became Western Pulaski County Water District.

To date, the Western Pulaski County Water District has over 600 miles of water main lines which range up to 10 inches. There are also 9 water storage tanks throughout the northern and western parts of the county used to serve over 8500 customers.
