IMPORTANT NOTE: If you upgrade from version 8 all your audio files will be preserved. However, if you upgrade from version 7 or lower you need to once more download recitation and audio translation files after the upgrade.
- Added five new recitations: Abdulbasit Abdulsamad (Tajwid), Maytham Al-Tammar (Tartil), Abbas Emamjomeh (Tartil), Karim Mansouri (Tajwid & Tartil)
- Improved Download Manager UI and functionality. You can now continue your downloads in the background.
- Added Media Controller: allows you to change the “repetition time” for Ayah and Surah, also navigate between verses while playing audio.
- New audio player: Supporting online play of recitations alongside offline to save your storage. Ability to jump to the next and previous ayah from the lock screen.

Enhancements to search capability; you can now jump directly to a joz’e, surah, hizb or page by putting its number in the search field.
You can also now go directly to a specific verse of a surah by entering its address in the search box. Example: enter 3:2 or ٣:٢ in the search box to go the 2nd verse of the 3rd surah.
Spotlight search capability (out of the app environment)
Improved appearance of the verses with obligatory sajdah tilawah (prostration of recitation)
