MANSION MAP
When talking to Bunber for the first time, he'll grant you the Mansion Map. Use the Mansion Map to participate in Free Play Mode! Select any stage or boss you'd like to visit and transport there in an instant!
Drag 'n drop any Candy or Curse you'd like into your TREASURE slots to experiment! It's a great way to practice - or just have some chaotic fun!
BALANCE CHANGES
• Phantom King will shoot exactly 4 eye candy peppermints instead of randomly shooting 4-8.
Developer Note: The randomness of this attack had implications on the speed running community and felt too long after 4.
• Phantom King / Phantom King Omega peppermints now have smaller hurtboxes.
• Phantom Worm's worm parts wait 10 frames before becoming invulnerable after being damaged. Allowing the player to damage a second worm part if the damage source is another entity.
Developer Note: Speeding up bosses was a big part of this patch
• Phantom Worm no longer moves slowly after attacking if it was damaged before attacking.
• Reduced spitter spider screen shake.
• Bubblegum Bones & Bubblegum Wraiths will now count towards the defeated count.
Developer Note: King's Beacon and Necro Scythe's were 2 of the lowest used flashlights in the game, we're hoping this change increases that.
• Reduced Fire Spirit's health to 5 from 6.
• Reduced Necro Witch's health to 5 from 7.
• Reduced Jack's health to 5 from 8.
• Reduced Phantom King's health to 4 from 6.
• Reduced Necro Scholar's health to 5 from 7.
• Reduced Pyro Jack's health to 6 from 8.
Developer Note: Most boss fights felt like they were taking too long to finish, we decided to lower the health of those that bothered us the most.
• Necro Scholar's falling skull attack now does not increase in speed when she's at a lower health.
Developer Note: The increase in speed felt unfair and too hard to dodge for most players.
• Hopscotch does not eat your souls anymore, he'll jump every 3 seconds.
Developer Note: We felt Hopscotch was under used because he was taking players souls.

• You need to be connected to internet in order for Tako Account saves to be uploaded.
• Does not effect local saves, those that do not use the Tako Account system or need their save to be uploaded for any reason should not worry.
• Online saves are primarily for players that:
1. Want to delete the game but download it again.
2. Use multiple devices to play.
3. Want a backup in case their phone is damaged.
• Settings now has a button to see more account options, these include:
• Log out of your Tako Account.
• If you log out you are able to log back in or create a new account. This will copy your progress over to the new account.
• Upload your local save.
• Manually upload your local save to the server, since these uploads are less frequent now you may want to do this before playing on another device.
• Delete your save.
• Deleting your save will not delete your Tako account but just reset your progress.

JOURNAL UPDATE
The Journal Update is finally here! Thanks to everyone that has supported the game from day 1, this has been on the waiting list for some time! I’ll quickly go through the various functions of the journal to get you all quickly update to date.
• To access the journal, press the green button (dailies replaced) when you’re in the flashlight menu. You can also access it through the pause screen while playing.
• Daily Challenges: These will act the exact same as the daily challenges before, there have been no changes to this.
• Side Tasks: These will show you when Hector or Paige have asked something of you. You are able to cancel the quest if you wish, but you’re only allowed to cancel 1 per day.
• Achievements: Now viewing achievements is even easier! Achievements that you had previously unlocked should be unlocked in the journal, along with a nice reward! NOTE: Eternal Blasphemy & Sugar Rushed will not be unlocked when starting the game even if it’s unlocked in your Google Play or Game Center accounts, you will have to do that one again! However, we are working on a fix.
• Character Log: You can view all the enemies, bosses and friends you’ve seen and met through the Character Log, pressing the “i” toggle while you have a character selected will show it’s description and some LORE! Have fun!
• Item Log: Similar to the character log, the item log will show you information on all the candies, curses, charms and flashlights that you’ve purchased throughout your stay in the manor!
• Leaderboards: Speed running is back! However, there’s a twist! There’s 2 leaderboards for every room, the good old fashion All Time Leaderboard where times never get removed and the Weekly Challenge Leaderboard.
• The Weekly Challenge leaderboard resets every Sunday, first, second and third place players from any leaderboard will be granted a new charm, The Golden Tako Boy! While fourth-tenth place players will be granted a The Tako Boy Charm.
• NOTE: Only 1 of each prize can be obtained weekly.

The projectile is destroyed when it makes contact with an enemy. Upgrade it to make it so any enemy killed by the ink bullet will spawn a poisonous ink puddle on the floor beneath where they were destroyed.
• Golden Tako Boy Charm (4 levels): A little golden octopus floats behind Molli, occasionally firing ink bullets that shoot downward, piercing through floors. The projectile is destroyed when it makes contact with an enemy. Upgrade it to make it so any enemy killed by the ink bullet will spawn a poisonous ink puddle on the floor beneath where they were destroyed.

• Devil’s Bargain Buff: Give up half your MAX HP to double your current SHP and boost the strength of Soul Hearts by 2x.

• Soul Taffy Buff: Gain +12 SHP.

* Here’s what to expect from the room saving system: If you close the app at any point during a room the app will load up back at the start of the room with everything you had previously. Destroying a boss will automatically leave you at the start of the treasure room. No more losing progress because you can’t complete a run in one sitting!
* Blast Worm: Changed his boss behaviour to better reflect how bosses behave in CnC. (check him out!)

DAMAGE / RESISTANCES CHANGES
- There are no more multipliers like before, instead we've changed over to an addition/subtraction format.
Example: +2 poison damage means you'll have 3x poison damage, as your character always starts with 1 + 2 = 3.
- Damage multipliers for Molli can never go below 0.25x, this is because in the world of Candies n Curses it doesn't mathematically make sense for damage to be lower than 1/4th.
- Damage can never go below 1.

LEADERBOARDS
Candies n Curses now has dedicated Leaderboards!
Fight your way through hordes of ghosts and gobble those sugary sweets as quickly as you can because the Leaderboards for speed runners has arrived!
There are 7 leaderboards in total: 6 for each individual stage, and a 7th for speed running all 6 rooms in one run. To be #1 you need to be the fastest in the world. Let's see who can beat Candies 'n Curses the quickest!
SPEED RUN TOOLS
In the Settings menu, you can now toggle the Clock Button to display or hide the in-game timer.
Toggling to display the in-game timer is not required to record your time to the Leaderboards, but it's a useful tool to check how fast you're moving.
DISCORD SERVER
Love the game? Do you have feedback, questions, concerns, etc? Do you just love candy and need to express that passion?!

- New saving system, offline saving now works with online progress. Offline progress will override online progress if offline progress was timestamped after your online progress was.
- Fixed a bug where sometimes rerolling daily challenges caused the game to take more souls than displayed
- Now Molli can't be damaged from intros and cutscenes.
