HOW TO CARBON OFFSET
1. Download our free app and select what to carbon offset
3. Input km/kg and we tell you the right amount of CO2 to buy
4. Pay secure and easily with Apple Pay, then we retire the CO2
5. Track your progress towards a carbon neutral life with your history of offsets

When you buy an amount of CO2 in Ellie, you are buying an equal amount of "Gold Standard" carbon credit, that we permanently retire from the carbon market, so it cannot be resold or recirculated. This is why you can claim whatever amount of CO2 you buy, is offset.

WHAT IS GOLD STANDARD CARBON CREDITS?
Gold Standard certification ensures that the emission reductions are real, additional and permanent. Furthermore, coming from projects that also contribute to a minimum of three Sustainable Development Goals. Gold Standard was founded by WWF and other NGOs to serve as the benchmark in carbon markets. You can find more information on their website https://www.goldstandard.org

We are not associated with Gold Standard. The carbon credits we are selling, are from projects with the Gold Standard certification.

Now you can choose which specific project you want to buy your CO2 from and log your intended compensation over time – to offset it all in one purchase. Do you have a project that should be default for all users from your country, then contact us!

As we require metric input for distance and weight (km/kg), our app now includes link to a calculator that can help you convert e.g. miles to km, lbs to kg and tell you the difference between airports. All in all to make it easier for you to climate compensate. Thanks for using our app, please help by leaving a review.
