About Game Data Live
Game Data Live enables the collection and review of football play data along with video or photos - live during a game. Use the play data to find significant plays fast and view their associated video or photos. Generate game stats, player stats and scouting reports from 24 variables per play. View or email reports as PDF files. Export the play data as a CSV text file and transfer it to Hudl. Store multiple games in multiple seasons for review.

Play data entry is very efficient and forgiving with a touch interface. The keyboard is used only while creating an optional roster. With networking, you can enter data on multiple devices simultaneously. Data entry is very fast !
Video can be captured using an iPad or iPhone's camera. If a telephoto camera is available, it will be used instead of the wide angle camera.
Photos can be captured with an iPad or iPhone's camera.
Video or photos can be viewed on an attached display / TV / projector. Works great for film review and data entry. Watch video in slow motion.
This free download starts out in Single Game Mode. Single Game Mode has 2 teams, a season and a single game. To create your own teams, seasons and games - you can purchase "Unlimited Games" from within the app.

Video Camera frame rates can now be adjusted.
You will still want to shoot at 30 frames per second when providing sideline video during a game. You could shoot at higher frame rates when your goal is to examine player techniques in slow motion.

Game data Refresh can use the FTP server to copy game data from another user. This will improve reliability in a network with many users.

Situation Tendencies report now includes plays from other games in the current season with teams that match the current game.
External display works with Photo and Video views. Now when you can select the Video view and turn on the TV, you'll see the video on your iPad / iPhone and on the TV.
Added a Step button (single frame forward) and a Next button (next clip) to the full screen video view.
Returned to an old method for FTP downloads because its more reliable.

Added Situation Tendencies Report. It displays run and pass plays that originate within 15 yards of the current play. This report will likely evolve during the summer. Its 3rd and long on the -42, what's your opponent likely to do.
Switched to modernized FTP Download method with slightly better performance.
Added the ability to Block the reception of videos by camera. If you don't want to see the Tight Camera's clips, you can block them.
Removed the ability for the camera operator to pick who gets their clips. Having the receiver block them takes less effort during a game.

The default for "Add New Video To" is now "Time Synchronized Play" instead of the "Current Play".
If you're shooting a game - the Current Play is the Time Synchronized Play.
Added a "Disconnect Everyone Else" command to GDL Network Settings.
At Half Time, you can Disconnect Everyone Else to have clean disconnects before the coaches take their iPads out of range.

Made separate commands for joining and leaving a GDL network. Now one iPad can connect to another and then connect to a third.
Added the time of day to the device name when creating a GDL network name. If you walk out of range of the GDL network without disconnecting, the network remembers your network name. Now when you reconnect, you'll have a new name with a new time stamp. Helps identify the latest connection for a GDL network user.
Added two new play results - Time Out for the home team and Time Out for the away team. Games Stats show the number of time outs for the home team and the away team for first half and second half.
Reports for custom fields show frequency and run / pass statistics for custom items. The items are now sorted by average yards. The item with the highest average yards is listed first.
