About HEF2018 Islamic Economies @4IR

Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia will be organising the Higher Education Forum 2018 Islamic Economies @4IR with the theme of “Waqf Revival”. This forum will be held at Royale Chulan, Kuala Lumpur on 22 - 23 February 2018. The event will be graced by His Royal Highness Paduka Seri Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah Al-Maghfur-lah, the Sultan of Perak.
This forum will gather about 700 participants consisting of policy makers, educators, prominent scholars and professionals from Malaysia and OIC member countries with the following objectives: i. To discuss the application of waqf for funding higher education and social development; ii. To examine how government, industry, academia and civil society should cooperate in enhancing waqf institutions; and iii. To provide a platform for collaboration in redesigning higher education and embracing the 4IR.
