โปรแกรม SmartUHealth พัฒนาขึ้นภายใต้งานวิจัยเรื่อง “การประเมินความเสี่ยงสุขภาพของผู้ใช้งานสมาร์ทโฟนด้วยแอปพลิเคชันสุขภาพของผู้ใช้งานสมาร์ทโฟนกลุ่มนิสิตนักศึกษา” (GCURS_59_06_79_01) โดยจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยและศูนย์ข้อมูลงานวิจัยด้านการวิเคราะห์ความเสี่ยงและการเฝ้าระวังผลกระทบสุขภาพในคนไทยที่วิทยาลัยวิทยาศาสตร์สาธารณสุข จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย (http://www.c-rahs.org) แอปพลิเคชันนี้ผู้ใช้สามารถประเมินความเสี่ยงสุขภาพจากการใช้งานสมาร์ทโฟนได้ด้วยตนเอง รวมถึงการประเมินความรู้ ทัศนคติและการปฏิบัติตนเกี่ยวกับผลกระทบด้านสุขภาพจากการใช้งานสมาร์ทโฟน และหลังจากตอบแบบประเมินในแอปพลิเคชันเรียบร้อยแล้ว แล้วผู้ใช้จะได้รับผลการประเมินและคำแนะนำเพื่อลดความเสี่ยงสุขภาพที่เกิดการจากใช้งานสมาร์ทโฟน
