About ArcGIS Companion
The ArcGIS Companion app is a native mobile companion to your ArcGIS Online organization. Its simple, intuitive and ready to help you do the following tasks and more:
- Browse and view content, people, and groups in your organization
- Manage your profile, groups, and settings
- View notifications and take care of them on-the-go
- Learn more about your org and its members
- Easily discover and share content others
- Keep up with the ArcGIS community through blogs, tweets, and news
- Administrators can now invite new users, even add them to groups, manage credits and most importantly assign licenses. This is huge and a big time saver
- Find and open your favorite maps and apps directly in the app. We even have options to launch other Esri native apps installed on your device

We are happy to announce support for ArcGIS public account users. This has been a big ask and we have worked very hard to bring this feature to you.
We didn’t stop there, we are equally excited to bring these other features in this release:
- Delete member option for administrators
- New filters for the Group content page

- New addition to discover page - introducing top categories, the quickest way to get to most popular types of items in your org
- Access your favorites maps, apps and other items right in the discover page. One click access and super convenient
- We also polished a few things, fixed bugs, and made some performance and localization improvements

We have improved the App Companion to provide an experience with fewer bugs and better performance. We’ve also made some updates and enhancements to the app:
- You can now view folders and the content within
- If you are an Admin, you can now add/invite new members to your organization
- As an organization Admin you can view the credits consumed in last 7 and 30 days
- New filter options for searching Org or Group members
