• Fixes reverse-date ordering of transfer screen when using "Send to Smartphone"
1.6.4

• Fixes shooting mode disabling after manually changing shutter speed to BULB.

1.5.2
2020-08-19
We've had a bit of fun with this one, but also fixed some show-stopper bugs!
- We've added a new subtle animation when changing some exposure settings, and an icon representing each white balance value. These together make it easier to see your exposure settings at a glance.
- Some nasty UI bugs were fixed around changing the app icon.
- A killer bug was fixed when using "Send to Smartphone" stopping you being able to transfer new images if you had more than 50 days of photos on your SD card.
- Half-press shutter has been fixed on a few a6xxx models.
- Better detection of the "smart remote control" app version you're running.
1.5.1
2020-08-03
In this version:
- Fixed two crashes we accidentally introduced in our big 1.5.0 update
In version 1.5.0:
We have a feature-packed release for you in this latest update!
-------- Focus Stacking!* --------
Allows cameras which support remote control of "Touch AF" to perform focus stacking by providing a grid or set of areas to focus on which will then be captured in quick succession. Ideal for landscape or macro photographers!
-------- Persistent Image Previews ---------
We decided it was about time you could see image previews for longer than the 3-4 seconds they stuck around for previously... now they hang around for the whole app launch, and you can scroll back through them too! We'll be bringing further improvements to this in the future (grouping timelapse shots e.t.c.)
-------- Full Screen Mode --------
We've added a distraction-free full screen mode! You'll see we had to move some stuff around to accommodate this, but we think it's well worth it! Full screen mode works particularly well on iPads where the screen closely matches the aspect ratio of the live view itself.
-------- Other small tweaks --------
- Disabled device auto-lock when downloading images
- Added support for bracketed capture (new Sony models)
- Added support for setting continuous shooting speed and mode (models earlier a7iii/a9)
- Added quick-switch for switching between cameras
- Added live view quality setting on newer models
- Changed order of radio buttons when setting exposure compensation to be more logical
* Focus stacking is only supported on certain models which support Touch AF remote control, please see https://camrote.app/camera-support for a list

1.4.0
2020-06-03
We gave you dark mode from the get-go, but now we present: LIGHT MODE.
For those of you who want to emit as little light as possible (Astro-shooters perhaps) we've also added a night theme and an even dark-sky friendlier "OLED" theme. Alongside this, we now fully support the iOS system dark mode which means maps/alerts e.t.c. will also be darkened/lightened as you choose.
Alongside adding themes to the app, we've also made some design tweaks to the main camera screen in order to make the UI a bit more modern, but more importantly we've re-jigged things a bit so we can squeeze in some more UI for an upcoming exciting feature!
Also in this release:
- Support for enabling multiple grids/overlays at once*
- A bug fix which meant some European speakers couldn't change aperture due to use expecting "5.6" rather than "5,6"
- More grids, including crop factors and additional aspect ratios
* Requires the overlays In App Purchase
1.3.1
2020-05-10
- A new rainbow icon for funders
- Fixed a crash when connecting to the a9ii (Firmware 2.0)
- Added more testers to "Credit" section
- Tweaked a few icons!
1.3.0

a9ii, a9 (Firmware >5), a7riv, RX 100 VII and possibly even some others we're not aware of!
For all you users who have always had support for your camera we've added plenty of other bits and bobs:
- More easy to understand "searching for cameras" state
- Quicker loading of GPX tracks
- Ability to view the exposure mode the camera is in*
- Slight UX/UI improvements
- Fixed bug where deleting contents would never finish
- Now displays when no SD card is inserted in your camera, and fixes bug with low memory warning when switching between video and photo mode
*Only supported on some models

1.1.4
2019-05-11
We've fixed a crash on the purchases screen and one on launch under very specific circumstances! Some more groundwork has also been taking place for localising our app to other languages!
Because this is a quick update, we'll remind you what else we've added recently:
We have something new and exciting for you that you've probably wanted from day 1 (Our bad!).
We think we've managed to give you the best experience for previewing your captured images... It's non-instrusive and can be disabled entirely with the flick of a switch or swiped off-screen to get rid of it quickly! Give it a tap and it opens to a full-screen preview for you to pixel-peek at your brand new photo!

This release adds some new sparkly pieces to the live-view screen! We have for you:
- Battery indicator and low-battery warning notifications*
- Indicator of how much space is left on your SD card(s) and low-memory notifications*
Because we're rocketing through the versions at the moment, here's what happened last time on Camrote (v1.1.1 update):
- Adds a histogram viewer to the live view!
- Makes improvements to the issues some users were seeing with capturing photos on their series 3 alpha cameras.
- Allows the removal of remembered cameras (swipe to remove!).
*Camera must be connected and the app must be in the foreground to receive these notifications
1.1.1
2019-04-06
Good things come in threes! In this case, we have: 1 big new feature, 1 new minor feature, and 1 big bug-fix. We'll leave it to you to decide which is which.
- Adds a histogram viewer to the live view!
- Makes improvements to the issues some users were seeing with capturing photos on their series 3 alpha cameras.
- Allows the removal of remembered cameras (swipe to remove!).

1.1.0
2019-02-11
It’s the update you’ve all been waiting for! This update is mainly to add image transfer for those of you that have been missing out on it (a7iii, a7riii, a9 and older model users we’re looking at you!). Unfortunately this does come with some sad news: this transfer method doesn’t support RAW transfer.
To make up for this, we’ve made some more awesome changes!
• Ability to delete photos from your camera.
• More information whilst shooting time-lapses.
• Improvements to time-lapse controls including pause and resume.
• Ability to rotate the live-view orientation.
• Dynamic Symmetry grid overlay.
• Bulb shooting (on supported models).
• Helpful information about whether your firmware and “Smart Remote Control” app are up to date!
And of course:
General bug fixes and stability improvements!

This update is small, but has some awesome quick wins for all our users!
- Massively speeds up device discovery of previously connected devices.
- Alleviates the need to reset device name to fix some issues on the a7iii, a7riii and a9.

This small update fixes a few bugs and crashes (oops, our bad!)
- Fixes crash when changing between portrait and landscape on the settings screen.
- Fixes restoring purchases.
- Fixes geotagging not starting when location permissions set to "when in use".
Keep tuned for further updates over the coming weeks!
1.0.1
2019-01-11
This is a small yet important update for all you Sony lovers! We've made a few tweaks and enhancements to certain features and made sure everything is looking sleek and it's correct size (Looking at you landscape iPad users) on all devices!
Unfortunately for all a7iii, a7riii and a9 users we have some bad news (for now!) in terms of image transfer. It turns out that Sony only support image transfer via the "Send to Smartphone" functionality on your camera. This is completely undocumented so it's going to take us a small while to figure out how it works, however we've already made some progress on this. Expect it to re-appear with full instructions within the next month or two!
For all you detail lovers, we have:
- Made sure your Timelapse settings are saved for your next shoot!
- Fixed the calculated duration text not updating whilst configuring your timelapse.
- Disabled auto screen-lock for you whilst shooting timelapse and video.
- Fixed an issue where sometimes photos were transferred as JPEG rather than RAW.
- Added the ability to change focus mode (On supported bodies).
- Added new ratio grid overlays (And enabled masking for them). Many thanks to the suggestions from fredmiranda.com!
- Improved the usability of Half-press of the shutter button (You now need to fully release the button to cancel the half-press).
- Added a Help/FAQ screen for useful tips and ways to make the app work better for you.
- Fixed the timelapse feature not being available for some users (People who like to give their devices custom names!).
- Fixed the UI being horribly squished on iPad when using the app in landscape.
- Fixed iPad app crashing after downloading images for transfer.
- Fixed some bugs with transfer on models that are currently supported.
Also, the obligatory:
Minor bug fixes and improvements!
