About CLR
CLR is a team and individual race training and tracker for the Cascades Lakes relay run or walk.
In race mode, CLR records each participants start time, finish time, duration and pace. The clock view also estimates the participants expected time to finish as well as the expected race finish time.
Settings include user defined margin setting for ETA warning notifications, major van exchange message forwarding though messaging (iMessage or SMS) to the other vans, rating multipliers and map routing between major exchanges and arbitrary defined rest area locations.
The map view shows the relay exchange points and colored pins denote major exchanges, finished exchanges and future exchanges. The finished exchanges are annotated with the finish time.
Rating multipliers can be defined by the team to adjust each runner's pace estimates against the difficulty rating of the leg.
Data transfers can be between any number of devices.
Leg results can be automatically posted to DailyMile, Twitter. SMS or sent via email during exchanges or postings may be sent manually for any team member's results. Results can also be transmitted to an AirPrinter.
If the app is connected over cellular or Wi-Fi. Using the Cloud, race progress for other teams logged in with an Apple ID can be tracked and other team members can sync race progress.
As a race observer you can track your or another team's progress by the app track function.
This app uses HealthKit and integrates with the Health app by reading the user profile data.
In training mode, a multi-week training schedule is created that can be used to prepare for the race. Training mode can capture workouts using GPS or log all the statistics for each of the workouts in the plan. Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
