About Query-Point

Query-Point® is a directory into which “advertisers” of products, services, places or celebrities may place information and set the range of the availability of that information based upon whatever distance makes the sense in terms of being obtainable. We call this information a listing

The app is the gateway to retrieving the information. An app user requests the information using a “keyword”, and may then listen to the response placed into the directory by the advertiser

The system is GPS based. Real estate signs, local storefronts, billboards and bus benches and historical markers all have a range of operation of 1200-feet from the sign or storefront. This is in effect a 2400-foot umbrella within which the system will operate
Government signage has an operational range of 2200-feet, or an umbrella of 4400 feet. Distances go up dramatically from there
Hyper local geo fence promotion, which could include schools, may have a 4-mile radius of operation
Ads on a city bus might use a 15 mile radius (A 30 mile umbrella) to allow information to be requested anywhere along a route
Large local businesses, in particular ones using a lot of trucks with their name painted on them, might choose a 50-mile radius of service.
Radio and local TV advertisers might choose a 150-mile radius of service to get the coverage needed where-ever the ad is heard.
Each “advertiser” has a pin on the map found in the app which may lead to acquiring the same information as would be gained when within proximity of the fixed point
Each listing has a QR code that takes people to the same information in a universal format that does not require use of the app

Query-Point® is a directory that allows consumers using our app to “pull” Internet based information from specific entities. Unlike search engines, the entity being requested provides the information the user receives

How it Works
As the app user comes “in range” of the enabled sign the user is able to push the microphone button and say the keyword(s) found on the sign that triggers the system to provide information. Usually this action is stimulated from viewed signs that are nearby. The app user says what is written on the sign or heard over the air, (the keyword(s)) into the app and the system responds with immediate audio information, and supplemental information through the app. The supplemental information may include web links, pictures, contact information and video. The information is placed on the system by or on behalf of the stakeholder or advertiser

We are all about safety. Entities also get an icon on the map found in the app. Another safety precaution is the use of short-cut keywords by category that gather the information from every listing that is within the users range. For example sometimes it is hard to get the name from a real estate sign, in which case the app user may grab the same information by saying “Hey Property”. This will return any property items within range of the app user

Saying “Hey Local” will return any of the local entities with range of the user. These could be local businesses but also nearby churches and schools.
Saying “Hey Marker” will retrieve information from historic markers if listed in out directory. Government services, including zoning signs, public works signs, and items such as buildings and parks, will respond to “Hey Government”, up to a range of 2200 ft. Any of the items with a range based in miles will respond to “Hey Info”

Cost
The app is free to users. For advertisers, the basic service can be free for many categories

Information and Privacy
App users are anonymous and they will not receive pop-up ads in their emails or while browsing. Paid advertisers have on their dashboards the record of the time someone queried their sign. They are provided with no other information.

Video, text to speech, and other app improvements
• A new video player system for handling almost any video service or format.
• An expanded text to speech system allows for up to 2000 characters.
• Favorites added to app. Sortable by date or alphabetically. (Great for shopping locally or looking for real estate)
• History is now sortable by date or by ‘most recently added’ on top.
• The advertiser may now provide directional mapping.
• A new feedback system for quality control. Consumers may communicate directly with Query-Point with regarding our service or individual listings.

Mapping
Expanded mapping icons for both access to info and for safety.
Icons are filterable by category:
Looking only at real estate, turn on only real estate icons.
Looking for a local business, turn on only local business icons.
Looking for garages sales or lost pets? Turn on only pop up icons.
Love history? Turn on historical markers.

Directional Mapping
Directional Mapping to set locations is available to advertisers. For example, a restaurant advertising on a billboard may send you to a specific location depending on whether you were traveling north bound or south bound. A window company may provide directions to their office or showroom for examination of their wares. A law office might provide directions to their office or a holder of a garage sale could guide you to the site.

The highest standard for Real Estate
For Real Estate we are a member of RESO and can empower MLS systems utilizing this standard with our free basic service at minimal or no charge for programming.

There is a PDF on our website to guide you through and keep you up to date with changes in our app.
