We are excited to release dynamic wind streamline particles on the radar! The particle movements indicate wind direction, while the colours indicate wind speed based on the Beaufort scale.

We have also introduced a new section in the calendar to keep track of moon phases over the next 28 days, extending what was previously available in the Marine & Tides section.

Various UI improvements including the extension of the graphs tab to cover 7 days of data, and alignment with the new Australian Fire Danger Rating System.
7.1.0
Aug 7, 2022
Introducing the new hourly "forecast scroller" that provides a quick and scannable alternative to the hourly graphs. This includes details of forecasted rain amounts for each hour, as chance of rain on its own provides no indication of intensity. You can tap on the forecast scroller to collapse/expand it depending on how much detail you prefer to see.

As always, most sections on the Home Tab can be turned on/off. This applies to the new "forecast scroller" and the "48 hour graph preview", so you can adjust the Home Tab to work just as you like it. Let us know what you think of the experience!
7.0.5
Feb 27, 2022
• A shortcut is now available at the bottom of the Home Tab to help you customise the panels on the screen. Feel free to show or hide any panel to suit your needs!
• Radar map borders are now better aligned to the terrain.
• You can now switch between composite radar and single site radar through the settings icon on the Radar Tab.
• Other minor UI updates and bug fixes, including some hidden extras that we are still tweaking before we announce it.
7.0.4
Jan 13, 2022
• The data in the Observation (Now) Panel can be reordered. Go to Menu > Settings > Observation Panel and drag the items in the list to suit your preference.

• Minor bug fixes and improved error handling.

Improvements and bug fixes for this release:
• More options to customise your Home Tab. Go to Menu > Settings > Panels to turn on/off various panels to suit your needs.
• Update of radar imagery to the new composite BOM radar.
• Added day/night shading on the Graphs Tab.

Introducing a fresh new update to the Weatherzone app! We’ve listened to your feedback and made the interface more compact, whilst adding a number of new features that were in high demand.

• We’ve introduced a new tab bar so that key features like the radar are always one tap away. This has allowed us to rationalise the home screen so there’s less scrolling to find the information that you’re after. Miss elements of the old home screen? You can bring back some of these panels by adjusting your Panels Preferences in Settings.

• For power users, we’ve created a dedicated area for weather graphs that gives you more control over the hourly data that you want to see. You can now track humidity and dew point on the graph (along with temperature, wind and chance of rain) and we’ve introduced a new rain intensity indicator as well. Graphs now have the ability to look back to see observed trends. For Weatherzone Pro account holders, we have some exclusive options for you too with wind gusts and cloud coverage added to your kitbag.

• The 28 day rainfall forecast has been extended to cover temperatures as well in the new Calendar Tab. This extension will help you plan for weather a month in advance. Long-range forecasts are provided by the Bureau of Meteorology’s ACCESS-S seasonal forecast model.

This update provides the backbone for a raft of exciting new features that we plan to roll out later in the year, so watch out for these updates.
